About the Author
Charlee Jacob will be forty-eight years old in June 2000. She lives in Garland, Texas with her husband, Jim. She has been a digger of dinosaur bones, a slinger of hash, an actress, a runner of a laundry mangler, and a seller of designer shoes and rags. Writing full time since 1992, she has placed almost 200 stories and almost five hundred poems, primarily favoring horror although she also has published in both the science fiction and fantasy genres. She has had fiction published in Palace Corbie, Into the Darkness, Deathrealm, Wicked Mystic, Prisoners of the Night, Women Who Run With Werewolves, Vision Quest, Bizarre Dreams, Bending the Landscape: Fantasy, The Last Continent: New Tales Of Zothique, Dreams of Decadence, Space and Time, Flesh and Blood and Divas of Darkness. Her first novel, This Symbiotic Fascination, was published by Necro in 1998 and was nominated for both the Stoker Award and the International Fantasy Award in the First Novel Category. Her first collection of fiction, Dread In The Beast, was published by Necro in 1999. A very short collection of her fiction was released in the Twilight Chapbook Series in 1999. She has had two chapbooks of poetry published: An Ancient Death Is The Most Beautiful (Shadowfire Press, 1997) and Flowers From A Dark Star (Dark Regions Press, 2000). She has a second novel, Silk Bones, which will be released soon by genrEZONE Books.
