Intelligently written stupid humor.,

So many times it seems that the best movies fly under the radar. "Dude, Where's My Car?" did more at the box office than "Out Cold". There is something wrong with that. A.J. Cook and Victoria Silvstedt provide plenty of eye candy, but the movie itself is hilarious. Most people my age (23) won't get the Casablanca references but that's okay. Those who do get them will laugh even harder. This isn't classic comedy nor does it claim to be, but if you want a good laugh from a hilarious movie, this is always an excellent choice.

Out Cold is probably the best comedic movie that involves extreme sports in it. It is absolutely hillarious. Bull Mountain, home to many skiiers and snowboarders, is being sold to Lee Majors, a big corporate ski lodge owner, who plans to make changes to the mountain. Luke (Jeremy London) has different plans though, and sabotages Majors' ideas. This movie has action, comedy, and snowboarding, a best bet for any movie junkie.

Well, I think Out Cold is just one of the best comedies out there. I totally recommend this movie, to anyone that enjoyed at least a bit movies such as American Pie series, Road Trip, Eurotrip,... It's just one of those movies, that makes you watch it over and over and over again. It has some seriously hilarious jokes in it. The best ones are those, which are featuring the two brothers. Beside these jokes, you also have a few really nice girls in this movie, especially A.J. Cook.
Well I swear aou will enjoy this movie. It is a must have for any student out there. The perfect movie to watch, if you want to laugh and laugh and laugh.

Yes, the movie is juvenile. Yes, the movie has some gross out moments. Yes, the plot is basic.
But it is still fun! I know that now that I am in my twenties, I am supposed to be more into classical films and literature, and modern smart and well written films and literature, and I am, but I also really like movies like this. Films like Out Cold, Hackers, Grind , etc. all have that same magical combination of good times, outrageous skills or situations, comedy, adventure, and some deeper meaning. Ultimately, these types of movies speak to the inner child in all of us, especially those of us that missed out on some of the light hearted teen years, due to some reason, or another. Don't watch this movie to learn anything, or to expand your mind. Watch it to have a good time, and get some great laughs.

Sick! Sick! Sick! Five Stars Easy!,

This is without a doubt the best movie I have ever seen. It really pin-points snowboarders to within 1/100 of a milimeter to their attitude. I am one myself, and hell, you would have to be pretty damn crazy not to make an attempt at Inga (She's a Fox)! Without the hot chicks (the movie would be of less quality), there is the comedy, which is laugh-so-hard-you-cry funny, and really awesome action on snowboards. I am a snowboarder (Bridger Bowl represent), and I think this movie doesn't do the world of snowboarding a lot of justice, put it sure exploits it accurately. Peace out, and ride hard!

Surprisingly funny trifle - should have been a lot worse!,

"Out Cold" should be a terrible, terrible movie. Made for a shoe-string budget (what little money they had was obviously spent on pop soundtrack licensing rights and helicopter guys for extreme snowboarding shots) and with absolutely no ambitions whatsoever other than to bring a few laughs, this movie should have ended up in two-star, $2.99-bin territory.
Problem is, the darn thing is funny. Loosely (and humorously) based on the immortal "Casablanca," "Out Cold" is a classic retread of various "Spring Break"-type movies, set on the ski slopes of "Bull Mountain." The usual group of horny guys who just wanna have fun have to stick it to the man who wants to go corporate with their treasured home. If there's an original plot line in this movie, I've yet to find it. But what the movie does have is some flat-out funny stuff. Ever hang out with one of those guys who doesn't tell great jokes or anything, and yet he's always got people laughing around him? That's "Out Cold." The under-rated Jason London plays Rick, head of the local snowboarders/stoners. He's got three good buddies and a local gal who's quietly gorgeous and perfect for him. But he pines for Anna (stand-in for Ilsa from "Casablanca") with whom he shared a great spring break in Cancun. And Anna "miraculously" shows up in Bull Mountain as the daughter of the semi-evil Lee Majors, essentially playing himself as the corporate guy eager to bring sushi and black ties to this blue-collar Alaskan ski town. You can tell a lot from the cover of "Out Cold" - you've got sophomoric sex and alcohol related humor, a stereotypical blonde bombshell just too eager to drop her top (former Playmate Victoria Silvstedt), and some pretty good snowboarding action. Perhaps it's because the movie's PG-13 and doesn't go for the uber-gross-out humor that would have landed an R rating, but there's some surprising wit to this movie. Look for plenty of semi-buried "Casablanca" homages and some genuinely funny laughs. This isn't a great comedy, but one that far exceeds the surpassingly low expectations it sets.

Winter sport and comedy lovers will find this predictable but hilarious. We all know the story. The cute misunderstood guys get their mountain (ski resort) in the end but the way they get it is very funny. Naturally there's a bad guy who tries to buy the mountain and commercialize it, and there is a love triangle just to appeal to everyone. The extreme skiing scenes will make you feel their pain while you're laughing. Don't let any of this keep you from seeing it. If you like comedies you owe it to yourself to see this one.

This was an incredible movie. The plot was enjoyable, the characters were well-developed. The music was truly amazing - don't look for it on the soundtrack though, none of the good ones are on it. ...

Surprisingly good!,

Ok, so I was totally prepared to hate this movie, but to my pleasure and surprise, it was actually pretty sweet. The pranks the guys played on Luke were the requisite drunked idiot stuff, but instead of being gross and dumb, they were incredibly funny. Jason London and Zack Galifianakis were great and I would definitely recommend this movie. Also, the soundtrack is great!
