4.0 out of 5 stars Good Album
A good album. But missing a few good songs from the movie.
Songs that are missing include:

1) "Island in the Sun" By Weezer. This is the song that the guy does not want to be played in the jukebox. I can't believe this song was not included in the album because its really THE song of the movie!

2) "Flake" By Jack Johnson. This is the song that...

3.0 out of 5 stars Out Cold
Hi there, I'd just like to say a few words on the "Out Cold" OST. I hope you don't mind. First off the movie was awesome and the producer really had an inside view of what snowboarding 20 somethings listen to when he chose the tracks for the CD. And second, I definately recomend picking up the movie and the soundtrack. That being said, one of the key tracks...

A good album. But missing a few good songs from the movie.
Songs that are missing include:

2) "Flake" By Jack Johnson. This is the song that is played when Jenny (AJ Cook) is stood up at the restaurant. Great Song!

3) "These Things" By Looper. This is the song that is played the morning after the party. A really good song!

So if your looking for any of the above songs, sorry to disappoint, none of them are in the soundtrack! Hope it helps!

While lacking some key songs from the movie, this soundtrack is still one of my favorites. It contains a wonderful selection of music that you will be able to listen to over and over. Although I would like to see the following songs on the soundtrack....

Weezer - Island In the Sun
Looper - These Things
Jack Johnson - Flake
Sir Mix a Lot - Big Butts
Everybody Have Fun Tonight
Old97s - King of all the World

First off the movie was awesome and the producer really had an inside view of what snowboarding 20 somethings listen to when he chose the tracks for the CD. Weezer's Island in the Sun cannot be found on the album. I dont know if it was left out because Weezer is not on the label that the soundtrack is on or if the person in charge of mixing the cd thought that it didnt mesh well its not my problem. I just think that if a song is in the movie it should be on the soundtrack. But I could be wrong.

4.0 out of 5 stars Missing something??, October 19, 2002

I must say that this is a fun cd. I have it in my cd player right now, and it's been there for about a week now. I really like the opening track, anytime, it is energetic and really great. And the album has a great variety of songs, new and old, but that won't change what it lacks.
Weezer's Island in the Sun was not on the album... if you've seen the movie, it is the song that Ana asks Luke to play on the jukebox. It is also missing a few Jack Johnson tracks, but if you aren't really into soft stuff it's alright.
Oh... one more thing, if you haven't seen the movie, you should check it out..."im not taking romantic advice from someone who can't spell romatic or advice... or bong!!"

OMG! i love this cd...the movie is the best. I read on here that someone was wanting to know the name of the rap song being played at the party.. Its called Baby Got Back by Sir Mix Alot. I was really dissapointed when i saw that the Weezer song wasnt on the soundtrack. But the rest of the soundtrack was GREAT! HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

4.0 out of 5 stars need help, December 19, 2003
This review is from: Out Cold (Audio CD)
I am really tired of looking for the song that played when Rick is talking to Luke right after the hot tub scene. And it is also playing when Luke pulls Anna out of the party to tell her that he loves her. The song is just an accou guitar playing and I loved how it sounded and someone need to help me and hopefully know what that song is if it even is a song or if it was just a little music bit put in those two scenes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Where's Jack?, August 6, 2002

A good movie with a great soundtrack....to bad the soundtrack is not well represented on this CD. Most of the songs that played in the movie were from Jack Johnson (if you haven't checked him out yet GET ON IT). I think they played at least 6 different songs from Jack (some of them not available on his CD) and the one they chose for the Out Cold CD is already on his Brushfire Fairytales CD. Sad. And to not have Weezer on this is criminal.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent, But bargain bin decent..., October 8, 2005
This review is from: Out Cold (Audio CD)
This is a fairly solid soundtrack. Has an up beat mood, Any common Alternative fan could get into. Lit, Sum 41 & Eve 6 songs are the highlights on here IMO. But there is still one flaw to be announced. The one song that in the movie stands for the two lead characters love for one another. Weezers "Island In The Sun" which would have made this compilation seem more complete.

P.S. When will someone get the great idea of putting ALL the movies songs onto the soundtrack?!?
