5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC funky rock, November 27, 2011
This album is just freaking amazing. I am a big fan of bands like early Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Incubus, Parliament-Funkadelic, Living Colour, 24-7 Spyz, and Stevie Salas. This is what I think Living Colour would have sounded like at the top of their game and maybe with a bit of help from some mind-bending drugs. This is a great debut album from a fantastic bass player (and not a bad singer to boot). It's a bit more hard rock than funk, but there is definately funk to spare on some tracks such as Hair, which features a super-funky walking slap bassline kind of like Larry Graham. Highlights include T.M.O. "Turn Me On," "Raw Like Sushi" and "I'm a Believer." This CD is great for fans of the bands listed above - BUY THIS ALBUM!!! But, you should look around on some more websites and find a non-imported version of the disc. I got my version for about US$5.00 on Ebay. Very inspirational for aspiring bass players. Buy this CD first and if you like it, look into T.M.'s other CD's (which are harder to find). His other CD's aren't quite as heavy as this one IMO. Check out youtube to see what he sounds like, and if you really like this, take a look at Stevie Salas' music. These guys ROCK!!!
