This review is from: Out of Crowded Vagueness: A History of the Islands of St. Kitts, Nevis And Anguilla (Paperback)
This book, together with Vincent Hubbard's also excellent books on the histories of St Kitts and Nevis constitute the most recent and comprehensive histories of those two islands, at least from the colonialist's perspective.

Dyde brings some interesting new information to light, such as the apparent fact that the fellow who claimed the Carib Indians called St Kitts "Liamigua" and Nevis "Oualie" was a fraud.

This book will serve anyone as a very good introduction to the history of these islands that were extremely important in the early development of the "new world".
