This book is very very scary and spooky. It is the one of the best books I have every read and any other fourth graders who like to be scared will love this book.

Out Of The Dark by Betty Ren Wright is a wonderful, surprising, and thrilling book. The book is about a girl named Jessie. Jessie and her family just moved in her grandma's house while her grandma was away. Almost every night Jessie seems to have bad dreams, in her grandma's old room. Jessie thinks that a change of room might help. Jessie hears of a girl her age and that lives right next door. Jessie decides to go and see what the girl was like. Jessie and the girl, Tony didn't get to a good start. Even though they didn't get to a good start Jessie asked Tony if she would like to take a walk with her. When Jessie and the girl discovered a schoolhouse Jessie needs to get out of the schoolhouse. In Jessie's later days she stared to read her grandmother's diary, which she found in the stuffy old room she was staying in. Once Jessie starts reading her grandma's diary a ghost starts to follow Jessie and try's to hurt Jessie. By the information Jessie has read she thinks she knows who the ghost is. After all the things Jessie has experienced she decides to write to her grandma. But at the end it ends up to be a surprise.

P.S. It is a great book you should read it.

I guess you could say this book was was a cheap thriller. I thought it was a strange book. Plus there was no turning point,it was the same thing over and over again. I don't really like this book personaly...but I think it could be a good book for others.

Later when Jessie discovers that the shocking ghost her her nightmares come to haunt her while she's awake she begins to look for clues about this ghost. Jessie then finds her grandmothers childhood diaries thinking they would provide a clue about this ghost. Jessie then meets a girl down the street. Jessie asks this girl, Toni Draves, to take a walk with her, but Toni has something else in mind. Instead of a walk Toni takes Jessie to an abandon school house from Jessie's nightmares. Jessie believes that this school house is the one that her grandmother went to. After Jessie reads all the Diaries she thinks she knows who the haunting ghost is. So, Jessie then writes to her grandmother who later comes to visit them. Her grandmother then tells Jessie everything and gives the story an unexpected twist.

If you are someone who is fond of ghost stories and are to be willing to be scared silly this is for you. The story takes place out in the country where a young girl, christina is staying with her grandmother. There christina has some scarry dreams that takes place in the woods. Soon christina meets some interesting characters and she goes and hangs out with them... soon she starts seeing her dreams again...except it's not her dreams..it's real life. This story unfolds her grandma's life...and a tale of jelousy...a must read!

I would give the book 4 stars because I thought the book was pretty good. One thing I liked about the book was how the girl's name is the same as mine. Another thing I liked was when her dreams actually started to apear when she was awake. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes mystery books.

This book is about a girl that moves into her grandma's house and finds a suprise. I like this book because it gave me a chill just like the book Cristina's Ghost another book Betty Wright wrote. I recommend this book if you like mysteries and don't mind a chill every now and then. I just couldn't put it down. I just had to keep reading it, I couldn't stop.
