5.0 out of 5 stars Federici does it his way.
From the title track to Dylan's Knockin' on Heaven Door, Danny Federici steps out for a group of songs that are enjoyable to listen to. Smooth Jazz all the way. I bought after listening to samples- and wasn't disappointed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Avoid Unless You Are A "Smooth Jazz" Fan
I like Federici's work with other bands and was expecting something with more bite than this. I suppose that it is fine for what it is, but it is pretty light stuff. I know that some people really like this kind of mood music (after all, Kenny G. seems to sell a lot of CDs) but it is too much like elevator music to appeal to me. It is all background music, mostly...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great"easy"jazz, April 21, 2008

Danny federici played with the E-street band..This was a rock group, one that made its mark producing loud music..Good loud music to be sure, but with the word "loud"underlined..Apparently it never occurs to some people that people who score making loud rock music can do anything else...or at least that is the gist of some of the customer reviews to be found here..This album, and its companion"Flemington" are "easy" jazz masterpieces..That they come from a guy who made his mark backing up Bruce Springsteen should not come as that much of a surprise..Afterall,Danny was a gifted musician, and not just the E-strret band's keyboardist...His style is fluid, his compositions tight,diverse,ear-pleasing..And,Hey..Even Springsteen has his"light" side..He won his oscar for the theme from the film"Philadelphia",not exactly a musical blood-brother to"Born in the USA"..Frankly,those whose musical appreciation is so limited as to be unable to appreciate anything other than the few styles they themselves favor should not be writing reviews of any kind..

It is all background music, mostly mid-tempo tunes with no edges. A one time listen for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars this is absolutely awful, October 12, 2005

This album is so bad. I think it might be one of the worst things I've ever listened to. Don't listen to this, ever! Stay away.
