5.0 out of 5 stars Young forever !, April 1, 2005
This review is from: Out to Every Nation (Audio CD)
..Jorn Lande is easily the greatest rock vocalist in the firmament and puts in another stellar performance here...his band here is absolutely fantastic..some of the heaviest guitar work ever committed to a disc..production duties courtesy of Fredrik Nordstrom (Dream Evil) also lift the quality way above magnificent..

5.0 out of 5 stars Every Nation Hears The Call!, October 27, 2008

Simply one of the most electric, exciting, and powerful albums of the last few years. This is Jorn Lande at the top of his game, and for those unfamiliar, you should take the time to discover one of the greatest rock voices of today. This album is filled with beautiful melodies, very expressive lyrics. Jorn has really poured his heart into these songs, and it shows.

Though all of the songs are amazing, my 3 favorites would be:

Out To Every Nation

Vision Eyes

When Angels Wings Were White

Vagabond, The Snakes, Ark, Millennium, Beyond Twilight, Masterplan, the Allen/Lande albums. Every project Jorn has been involved with has been elevated to another level, and his solo work has been stellar as well.

If you love Dio, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Purple, or any melodic metal then CHECK THIS ALBUM OUT!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The album simply rocks, March 10, 2008

As mentioned, he sounds a lot like David Coverdale...he might even do David Coverdale better than David Coverdale. :) Excellent songwriting, excellent execution and excellent production. I don't give 5 stars often and this is my first Jorn CD but it is certainly going to get worn out. I'm already looking for my next one.

Jorn Lande is back with another astonishing album. This 3rd solo album really represents Jorn who he is since he burst out the scene from nowhere. From what I know is that Jorn was singing for so many bands and artists around the world that made him a respectable and brilliant vocalist of the 21st century. He has sang for Vagabond, Ark, Millenium, Masterplan, Malmsteen and so many more....... Jorn's vocals are very powerful and intense. The opener Young Forever is a great powerful rock songs backed by Pagan's Mind Guitarist and drummer... What a combination of europe's best musicians and songwritters..... I really enjoyed listening and cranking up my stereo.. It is indeed a powerful album and it will stand the test of time!! Period! As Jorn's fans would know, his style is towards melody, catchy choruses and full of memorable guitar riffs to complement the songs... You would sing along to this album I guranteed!! With such a brilliant album, I would pay anything to own a copy and forever it will be mine!!!! It will be yours too if you get it now. Don't wait anymore......Jorn is here to rejoice the world!!!! May the world embrace it!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Jorn revisits progressive metal territory with members of "Pagan's mind" and "Hammerfall", March 21, 2011

"Out to every nation" is the 3rd solo album by Norwegian rock/metal singer Jorn Lande originally released in 2004. The album marked the singer's collaboration with a new label, "AFM" records resulting to a much heavier release than the preceding two. On this album Jorn recruits members of "Pagan's mind" guitarist Jorn Viggo Lofstad and drummer Stian Kristoffersen along with `Hamerfall' bassist Magnus Rosen and key player Ronny Tegner.

Taking into account that the album is written collectively by Lande and Viggo, it should come as no surprise that "Out to every nation" leans towards progressive metal rather than the pomp/melodic rock side of the previous two albums. Indeed the emphasis is placed on riffs and grooves instead of melody, still the choruses, and all vocal parts are once again characteristically Jorn. One has to also address that "Out to every nation" featuring superior production qualities to the preceding albums including the thickest guitars and drums.

On a personal level, i have to comment that I prefer the melodic side of Jorn's solo music while acknowledging that the album carries substantial metal tunes including the title track, "Vision eyes" and "Rock spirit". Overall "Out to every nation" is a great addition to Jorn's solo catalogue that references directly his progressive metal origins being his heaviest work up to that time.

4.0 out of 5 stars The always-impressive Jorn Lande strikes again, July 6, 2010
This review is from: Out to Every Nation (Audio CD)
2004's Out To Every Nation is the third solo album from Norwegian vocal god Jorn Lande. The current Masterplan frontman is one of the best vocalists in hard rock, sounding like a mix of David Coverdale and the late Ronnie James Dio (RIP), and his solo albums are always quite good. Jorn treads the line between hard rock and heavy metal with his solo albums, which are always hard-hitting but still very melodic.

I think Jorn was starting to really find his songwriting style here, and as a result a number of tracks on Out To Every Nation are what I'd call "signature" songs, particularly "Living With Wolves," "Young Forever," "Vision Eyes," the title track and "One Day We Will Put Out the Sun." I'm less thrilled with "Rock Spirit" and "Behind the Clown," but this is still a very strong album altogether.

It's not as amazing as his work in Ark or Masterplan, or even the more recent Jorn albums, but Out To Every Nation is still an excellent melodic hard rock/metal album from the most exciting vocal talent in the genre. If you're a Jorn fan, you're going to want to own it.

Edition Notes: There is a Limited Edition version of Out To Every Nation that includes a bonus video clip for "Living With Wolves." It's a neat addition (though I'm still not sure what to make of Jorn in black metal face paint), though not essential. It also shows Jorn hoisting Norway's flag instead of the USA's.

5.0 out of 5 stars His Voice Is Old But He Sings You Magic, August 27, 2007
This review is from: Out to Every Nation (Audio CD)
Best album of 2004 hands down. This is JORNs best solo album to date. Even better than the fantastic THE DUKE(2006). Not one bad song on this, the songs are all so diverse from one another that it takes you on a musical journey that will make you wanna take the trip again and again. I hope JORN goes back to this style of songwriting on his next(5th) solo studio album. THE DUKE is great but got a little "dark" in places. JORNs greatest solo song of all time is on this "Something Real". If you love good melodic hard rock with vocals which are a mix of Coverdale/Dio but with more passion check this out then, you'll LOVE IT. I gaurantee that!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Jorn or David Coverdale??, November 12, 2005
This review is from: Out to Every Nation (Audio CD)
One of the greatest things about MASTERPLAN is that Jorn has some help writing songs...It is one thing to sound like David Coverdale, but quite another to also re-create his words 20 years later. Throughout this CD your hear Whitesnake/Deep Purple lyrics: "Rainbow shaker on a...","I was baptised in the storm" and many other familiarities. Perhaps Jorn did this sub-consciously - he's obviously spent a LOT of time studying David Coverdale!! It seems many times he goes out of his way to imitate Coverdale vocally as well. Don't get me wrong, this CD rocks in many spots. There are heavy guitars, obviously great vocals and the songwriting isn't really that bad overall. It's just that I wish Jorn would find and stick to his own identity. God knows he's got the talent to be a star on his own merits!

I would still recommend buying this CD...just be prepared for a bit of a flashback! If you're too young to know who David Coverdale is...go buy Deep Purple's BURN before you do anything else!
