I got this CD after having heard Balzac play as openers for the misfits, Thought alot of what they say is in english youll most often have no clue understanding them (unless you read the lyrics) but still there is just something about thier music that is so catchy that alot of todays "pop" bands have lost, i do hope that as thier popularity grows in the US that thier vocals will get a tuning. otehr than Balzac is one of the only two bands that have REALLY caught my eye in the past few years, a great listen for any Misfits/Punk person

Another great one from Balzac. I already had the single disc of "Came Out Of The Grave" but I had to get this anyway.
Its worth the price alone for the dvd. You need to own this.

Balzac is indeed an amazing band! i saw them open up for the fits and even got to meet two of the members. There Music is heavely influenced by the misfits, but they make it there own. There the few horror punks actually pushing the genre and not playing the same stuff over agian. This cd is packed and is a great value you get a compliation of two great albums that will get you pumped with its energy! Also there a dvd filled with music videos and show how big balzac is in japan and how great they are live.

This group is essentially the Japanese version of the Misfits; right down to their musical style, look, and presentation. That's okay though, because the Misfits are cool with them. In fact, they introduced them to the U.S. This collection is two albums combined into one for a total of 22 furious and raucous tracks. Don't let their hardcore punk label fool you either, they can lay down some great anthems too. You get a bonus DVD with videos, live performances, and more audio tracks.

Balzac is nothing special, but fans of similar-sounding bands should check out Balzac anyways.,

Balzac is a Japanese rock band whose aim it is to sound and look a lot like the Misfits. The band uses the Misfit's patented "WHOOAAAA OHHhh WHHHOOOAAA" (see Hatebreeders, Astrozombies, I Turned Into A Martian, Night of the Living Dead) in what seems like most of their songs. The Japanese band doesn't come close to possessing the vocal chops or the ability to write a cannot, however, replicate the vocal chops Glenn Danzig (who can?). The lead-singer of Balzac sounds more like a lesser-version of Joey Ramone. The Misfits/Danzig wrote songs with catchy melodies and great lyrics; Balzac, on the other hand, possesses neither of these strengths.
Just because Balzac isn't as good as the bands that influenced them, that doesn't mean they should be written off altogether. Balzac isn't terrible--on the contrary: among a certain audience the band will find many fans. They've opened for the likes of Agnostic Front, Rancid and the new Misfits. A Balzac song would feel right at home on a Give Em The Boot compilation CD.

Like I said in my other reviews, I had lost all hope in modern music until I heard Balzac. Balzac is one of the most talented bands I have ever heard. Great vocals and great music. I just hope I get a chance to see them live someday. The DVDs these CDs come with are a great bonus too. Balzac rules.

This is a Japanese horror punk band. They sing in English but they might as well sing in Japanese cuz you cant understand a word this guy says. Aside from that, this record is awesome. Loaded with 80 minutes or so of horror punk in the style of the great Misfits. The only other beaf I had with album other than not understanding the lyrics is that the songs are kinda long but you get used to that after a couple of listens. This is a great album and also comes with a DVD with live videos, music videos and a short horror movie made by the band! Get this record! it is totally worth it.

These guys, they're freakin' awesome! Yeah, you can't understand what they're saying half of the time, but still, it doesn't diminish the awesomeness of the music that they make. They use the classic three-chord progression and the Misfit-style "oh oh oh" type singing, mixed with their own unique guitar rifts and the lead singers own distinct vocal style. I am going to track down all of their available albums because these guys are awesome! Buy this cd, NOW!

Yikes. I know this band basically guaranteed their (minimal) success by sucking up to Jerry Only and stroking his massive ego, but just stay far, far away from this. Why bother listening to wannabes when the original material from the Misfits is readily available? If you really need proof, track down Balzac's cover version of "Don't Open 'Till Doomsday" or "Devil's Whorehouse." I guess if you're looking for whiny, unintelligible vocals with a heavy Japanese accent and substandard imitations of Misfits guitar work...well, go nuts. But you've been warned.

I don't need "MISFITS" wannabe's in the good ol' united states so I definetely dont need some woah woah ooh crap sung in japanese! Buy Earth a.d., Static Age,Walk Among Us,Legacy of Brutality or hell even Evilive to see what these losers wish they were. Just cause your songs are like fater than hell doesn't mean their good.
