2.0 out of 5 stars What's all the hooplah?
I've heard GS Megaphone and I've been to a concert, so my judgement should be pretty balanced by now. These guys are terrible. The singer's voice gets old fast and they try to make it seem as if they are hard rockers. It's not that way at all. To put it all in one word, hype that can't deliver, and music that isn't that good.

1 - use me
an awesome grundgy sound rock song thats got great lyrics to mix with its awesome music.
2 - out of my mind
the only way to listen to this song is loud enough that you cant hear yourself when your compelled to sing along as loud as you can make your self sing
3 - prodigal dad
a slower song that just about makes you cry when you realise everything God has done for you
4 - cradle of peace
perfect blend of soft and hard rock in the same song that gives one of the greatest messages ive ever heard in music
5 - alive
you cannot describe this song, musically, its the best song ive ever heard, strong and powerful rock, but its also soft and rhythmic, soothing your soul as its feeds you the greatest words ever put into a song, just about every verse is inspiring enough to make you want to chenge your life and go out and live for god like we are supposed to
6 - electric
my favorite song before i heard alive this song just rocks
7 - Kaleidoscope
my least favorite song, but im still not ever gonna skip over it when it plays =)
8 - Man Alone
This song gets better everytime you hear it, ill go for days with the words and music in my head
9 - Sincerely yours
sometimes you forget about the other songs on the album, but its how you cant stop the music once it starts because of how great every song is that makes this the best album ever
10 - Proverb Doll
Just another awesome song you just cant not listen to
11 - Fly
A little slower for your softie lovers, the song still packs a punch and gives you some amazing lyrics
12 - I'd Rather See God's Face
another song the explores the range of the talents of GSM, hard and soft great verses, awesome choruses, ive never left the car in the middle of the song, you jus have to hear the whole thing

so basically you got anlbum which delivers 12 songs of which about 9 or 10 of the would be your favorite song had you not heard the rest of the album. cant wait till there is more about by these guys =)

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like King's X....you're going to dig GS MEGAPHONE!, July 19, 2002

I met these guys in person. They opened for KING'S X in Little Rock, Arkansas on 07/18/02 and were AWESOME!!! They too are big KING'S X fans and it shows in their music. Lead singer Ben plays a 12 string bass (kicks major butt while doing so). His brother is an excellent drummer .... I'm telling you this guy for GS MEGAPHONE is goooooood. He did a very killer (as well as complexed) drum solo that night in Little Rock.

I believe there are great things to come for this band. One of the best openers I've seen in a long while. Great job guys!

Check out their website: http://www.gsmegaphone.com

Enjoy!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Notch Talent, August 11, 2002
This review is from: Out of My Mind (Audio CD)
Often I'm disappointed with the soft and subtle Christian lyrics some bands employ...but not these guys. The lyrics are up front and blatantly Christian. If I had to compare them I would say sometimes they slide into sounding like STP and Alice In Chains.

This is a band who has obvious musical and lyrical songwriting talent.

With no room for compromise, these loud rockin' prophets proclaim the power of Christ's love as a light piercing the darkness. Whether they're tackling tough issues like sexual purity in "Proverb Doll" or declaring a heart for God in their hit "Use Me", you'll be moved by their infectious beat, hard-edged hooks and powerful truths!
