Awesome to the 2nd Degree!,

This review is from: Out of Picture Volume 2: Art from the Outside Looking In (Paperback)
Of all the illustrated fiction collections I have read, "Out of Picture" is the most outstanding. While OOP Volume 1 was marvelous, Volume 2 is equally amazing. The mix of stories from the fine folks at Blue Sky Studios in this book are the left-overs. This is not usual lelftover meal, but rather a fully flavored, spicy smorg of international delight. I love the format, and the mix of storytelling styles. From "Crawdaddyo" to "Why Bother", the storytelling mix of mime to illustrated text is wonderful. These artists have much more to say than we ever see on screen. The talent here reminds me of a well known studio in the 1940's and 50's. They were animators by day, and madman artists by night. Oh, the studio was Disney, and creators like Sparky Moore plied their trade in two time frames. Consider this book the equivalent of Dell Comics and Disney Studios. Other stories in this book will thrill you with brilliance, entertain you with genius, and demonstrate the hidden talent that the men behind the pencils possess. May we see their talent in forums like this for many years. Here's to OOP 3.

After the success of Out of Picture Volume 1: Art from the Outside Looking In the folks at Blue Sky have put together another great volume of short, illustrated stories.
If you liked the first book, you will enjoy this one as well.
