5.0 out of 5 stars full of great ideas! August 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I originally got hold of this book when it was available as a free promotion for my girlfriend rather than myself, but after reading it I'm really impressed with the huge amount of storage ideas found inside - some of which were really enlightening! The chapter on the kitchen alone is chock-full of innovative ideas that would be great to use if you are limited for space and budget. This is a great little book and should be part of anyone's Kindle home management library. Now I'm off to put some of these ideas into practice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful! August 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I, like many people, had the problem of having too much stuff and seemingly nowhere to put it. So I figured that I would buy a book in the Kindle store to see if it could help at all. I was in for a pleasant surprise.

This guide gives you tons of ideas and things you can do to save space in your house without the need to spend a whole bunch of money on it. Out of Sight, Out of Mind also looks at each of the rooms individually. That way it can be as clear and specific as possible when talking about how to save space.

This guide helped get my apartment looking pretty good. If it can do that, it can do anything.

1.0 out of 5 stars Um...duh! December 31, 2012
By HoMama
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Before I get started, I just have to say that calling drawers, "draws" is like nails on a chalkboard.

This book is supposed to be full of tips and ideas to help you organize your house and minimize your clutter. Tips include such mind-blowing ideas as using a toy box to store your children's toys and keeping all of your underwear in one place when organizing your clothes. Wow!

I hate giving being so negative when someone is trying to be helpful, but this is just ridiculous.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your time of money May 24, 2013

Don't waste your time or money. You can look on free internet pages for these common sense tips. I expected to get some neat ideas and it was junk I already had done or known about.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing new under the sun January 4, 2013

Glad it was free and short. Perhaps helpful to someone, but not for me. As with most of the free books I have downloaded, it needs a good proof reader.

2.0 out of 5 stars Unique, but not for me. December 26, 2012
By Kim
Format:Kindle Edition
Very creative solutions, but most would take large amounts of time and money to put in place and some are just plain dangerous. Recycling tires for toy storage in a child's room? The author says just paint them and stack! Make a bottom and lid and put it on casters! What do you do when the child pushes on it and the tires fall from the stack? Not to mention the off-gassing. Or the suggestion to use rain gutters for shelving or as a spice rack...really? My suggestion is to get a tetanus shot first. The best advice I found in this book was to declutter by eliminating excess belongings.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lousiest organization book ever December 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Wow, this is the lousiest organization book ever! I only paid $1.47 for it and it is not worth even that! I gleaned maybe 3-4 new ideas; most of the ideas given are old news, hard to visualize, or just stupid. It also seems to be written for those who have no money or little imagination. Some illustrations would be nice!

Additionally, the grammar in the book is poor and there are many typos. The book is written very simply and repeats many phrases and concepts over and over again (the word "additionally" comes to mind, as well as things like "it depends on your budget, what you need to store, what size of items you have" etc.).

This was written by a woman who is an artist "with an interest in interior decorating". Let me tell you what... I am neither of those things, yet I have more creative ideas for attractive, functional storage and organization!

There are so many ideas in this book that it would be hard to imagine that a reader would not find at least a few they could implement.

This has good general information. It is better for someone who has younger kids at home. But I did find some helpful hints in there.

2.0 out of 5 stars Heh.
I only read one new idea, hanging metal toy cars on a metal, magnetic knife rack. This book would have been better as a magazine with photographs of her suggestions.

The author has many ideas for organization and for storage. The author does not seem to understand what clutter-free really means. Read more
