If you have been following White Collar, you will know that this season the writers have presented some discomforting story lines. Right as Neal, the con man helping the FBI against his will, has decided that his handler is a Father-figure and that he might enjoy going straight for good, his handler, Peter, is promoted and Neal is assigned a new handler. Worse, Peter is promoted because Neal stole evidence for another thief in order to help Peter be cleared of wrongful charges and get that promotion; only Peter doesn't know it. Plots twists abound with Mozzie and Diana, two excellent support characters, as well. So, the story has taken many new turns to keep us viewers coming back, hoping the likeable, talented and adroit Neal will live a productive, crime-free life and remain friends with his mental equal, Peter, who keeps showing him the measure of a good man, one who understands living within the law, yet still having compassion for those who missed the mark and need to discover the good within them.

Best series on TV! Love this show. Matt Bomer (Neal Caffrey) is brilliant. Willie Garson (Mozzie) is superb and Tim DeKay (Peter Burke) plays his role perfectly. The writing is pure genius. I can't say enough good things about WHITE COLLAR!

I have watched all of the prior episodes multiple times and have been a huge fan of White Collar ever since I learned about it. I've even recommended it to multiple friends.

But I must say that this season some of the magic between Peter and Neil appears to be missing, as Peter has been given a new position and Neil has fallen into his old criminal ways. Whereas there was always the hope of Neil's rehabilitation (albeit, on his own terms), he is farther and farther away from that now, and that's sad. And the very interesting balance in the relationship between Peter and Neil of father/son, friend/friend, law enforcer/criminal has shifted to mostly law enforcer/criminal, which is a much less interesting relationship. And worse yet, Peter is looking less like the brilliant super-sleuth and more like an ordinary guy liking his new toys and perks of the office. This said, I still look forward to watching this program, just not as much.

Kinda heartbreaking season for certain White Collar fans. First of all, I need to say: If you are reading reviews wondering if you should watch the series, you should! It's one of my all-time favorites. The relationship between the FBI agent (Peter Burke) and his CI/prisoner/best friend (Neal Caffrey) is one of the funniest, most endearing, conflict-ridden, caring partnerships ever. But please start with season one.

Now - this was my least favorite season, bar none. It took four seasons of careful character development and ripped it up and threw it away in so many ways. If you just watch this for the caper storylines and the conflict between Peter and Neal, fine. But if you've followed a slick, remorseless criminal and a harsh FBI agent as they come to care deeply for one another and make each other better men, this season is unforgivable

Peter goes from being Neal's guiding light, family, and protector to making Neal cry in his office, giving him away to another handler, and treating him with deep verbal cruelty. Neal of course responds by sliding deeper and deeper back into the criminal rabbit hole. Near the end of the season, they sort of start being partners again with no explanation or reason they can still view each other with trust or friendship - it's like the show runners just waved a magic wand and expected everything to fall into place.

It's bad storytelling at best and heartbreaking at worst.

I love this series. Besides the plot of the stories, I enjoy watching the always developing of friendship between Neal and Peter. Mozie, the neurotic, is in top form. Everyone loves Mozie, even those unsavory characters, evidenced by the story of when he got shot. A perfect blend of drama and humor.

It's not as good as previous seasons. But it's early so I'm hoping it gets better. Still love the show. Wondering how they'll be able to use Mozzie as much since the new Handler has seen him. Love Mozzie,

I've been disappointed with this season. It seems like the writers are tired and lacking ideas. Previous seasons I was excited for each new episode but this season the episodes just pile up and there is usually something better to watch.

Like the main characters. Don't look to deep at actual legal use of warrants. Also white collar typically has to do with non violent crimes such as fraud and embezzlement. If you let these things go by you it is a fun and entertaining show
