Since it comes from Out of the Box games -- who make the wildly addictive Apples to Apples --- and since I'm a film buff, I figured this would be enjoyable. But I had no idea that it would be such a blast to play.
It does require a decent knowledge of movies, but you don't have to be an expert -- you just have to be able to put together odd concepts like "a science fiction film that included a slow-motion scene" and be first to come up with an answer. When I played for the first time with a group of friends, we played several rounds the winners were rarely those of us with the most film knowledge. It's as much about making connections as it is actual movie knowledge. Since the game comes with hundreds of cards and each "clue" is a combination of two random selections, there's almost infinite replay potential. It's a simple idea without complicated rules, and enormously fun. I'd recommend it for any adults or kids over 13 who love movies.

My wife loves movies, and movie trivia games. I hate them. I'm terrible at remembering actor names and details about movies, and haven't seen enough main stream movies to be able to answer the trivia.
This game is different however. Its premise is simple but amazingly fun. You draw two cards and try to think of a movie that has both in it. The cards could be a scene, a place, a prop, a genre, and actor, etc. Its really fun trying to come up with movies that fit. Since you can come up with any movie that fits the cards, you don't run into the trivia pitfall of not having seen a specific movie. My wife still beats me all the time, but I don't mind because I at least get some points and have fun doing it. Its also a great party game.

I love movies, but even if you don't think you know a lot of movies, this game is great. Part of the game is making the connections between the cues and the movies you DO know, and explaining the connection.

A friend brought this over for a get together, and it was an incredible crowd pleaser. You have to think of a movie that matches the elements on 2 different cards. We split into teams, and went around. It was a BLAST! Somewhat similar to apples to apples, the judge moves each turn, so everyone gets a shot. Impressed me so much, it's on my birthday list.

Saw the guys on Totally Rad Show playing this game, and it looked fun so I pulled it up on the Amazon app on my Nexus One. One click and 2 days later, I had it. Didn't get a chance to play it until I had friends over for New Year party. We got into it about 1am while most of us were a little buzzed. I can't even convey how fun the game was. It's so simple, just a box of cards and a rule book. Once the rules were laid out, the game just took off. People shouting movies, congratulations on coming up with something really good, light-hearted arguments over whether something counts, the great feeling you get when you get to say one of your favorite movies and win a point!
Sure you could spend the time to write out cards yourself, since that's all this box is, but why bother when it's so cheap and well made here?

Great game you have to check out!,

This game is fun from the minute you open the box. It is a must have for anyone, whether you're real movie buff or an occasional movie renter. There are thousands (millions perhaps?) of combinations of cards that make each game unique.
The first time I played it, I was with a group ranging in age from late teens to early seventies, and everyone was able to participate, bringing their own movie-viewing experiences to the game. I can't wait to play again. If you or anyone you know likes to watch movies, and/or play games, check this one out.
