5.0 out of 5 stars Brought Together by a Bouncing Baby Girl, February 2, 2010
Gemma Brown had her life pretty much in order. True she was living in a small flat in Brisbane, but she ran her business from home and she was her own boss. Then one morning there is an unexpected banging on her front door. Gemma knows immediately that it's trouble and she's right. Her best friend Isobel Jardine bursts into her flat with her baby girl, Mollie. She tells Gemma that her husband Dave, who has been working in Somalia, has been kidnapped by rebels and the government wants her to go over and appeal to their sympathy. It seems like these are family oriented rebels.

Gemma is horrified at the news, then taken aback when Isobel tells her she wants to leave Mollie with her, she has no one else she trusts. Of course Gemma agrees, but then right after Isobel has left, who should show up at her door, but Dave's big brother Max, who has been living in the outback in Western Queensland. When they were kids, Gemma had had a crush on the insufferable Max, who is a ten on the hunk scale, but she got over it. Or did she? When Max suggests they take the baby to his home in the outback and share responsibility, Gemma at first refuses, but then she changes her mind.

And there you have the basis for a romance that really moved me. Ms. Hannay has giving us a hero and heroine to care about and a setting that was fun to read about. I really liked this one and I know you will too.
