2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I was expecting, February 7, 2012

The construction on this is not as durable as the price would justify. The installation is not easy and the bolts barely fit. The plastic wicker often covered the hole making it hard to insert and even harder to tighten.

It's also not very comfortable. It looks awesome, but you have to recline more than sit in it. And the lower bar seems to hit the back of your legs awkwardly.

Overall, it's a very pretty swing, but I would not rate it as comfortable or well made. I did purchase at a deep discount, so if I get a year or two out of it in the Arizona environment, I'll be satisfied. But if I'd paid over a thousand dollars ... I'd be returning it.

I love the look and price of this piece, but the wrapping was so poor that we didn't get all of the parts, nor the cup holders...the box was torn and crushed and the 'parts' bag was also torn and open, with the bolts & nuts loose.

In the shown image the cables are attached to O rings, these did not show up either... we tried to suspend it from our existing swing frame, but without any hangers the cables are too short to mount correctly.

Additionally, the cables are exposed and pose an extreme pinch issue on the handrails.

Most importantly, I would worry about small children and the danger of strangulation or injury if they fell between the cables and armrest. Once set up, this is not a 'fixed' swing, it will rotate either forward or back on the cables, posing serious safety issues.

The materials of the actual chair are well made and seem durable, however, the hanging appliances, even if you have the complete set, are not well thought out, in my opinion.

We will be looking to start from scratch or just mount the chair cushions (they are not rigid, the 4 sections are free moving joined together) on logs or something???

Hindsight, should have saved our money...I jumped on the 95% off retail price tag... I couldn't imagine paying $900 for this set with the stand as the blue one costs, or it's full retail of $1120, crazy!
