This book is wonderful for bringing out the insecurities of a heroine. Rose is so stand-offish to begin with but Dave certain helps to round out her edges. Loved the bit about the drunken possum! Classic.

It's a compelling combination, and although their relationship is tense, Dave finds himself wanting more than her medical expertise.
