Independent 25yo artist tends to the injuries of temporarily-amnesiac man who she found unconscious in her family's outback land. While Hero is recuperating, they get to know each other with his memories gradually coming back bit by bit daily. They're attracted to each other but Hero's unknown marital status & heroine's independence issues are barriers to their increased intimacy. When heroine's uncle comes back, heroine learns the reason why Hero was on their property. And meeting Hero's fiancé confirms heroine's choice to withhold herself from Hero.

A boring Lindsay book. It made me sleepy so I started skipping pages just to get things going. The pace was so slow & emotional pull was lacking. The romance & sexual chemistry were lukewarm. No sex scenes. The book's content was more about life in the Australian outback & main character's daily doings like cooking & eating than romance. The dialogue was also boring. Hero & heroine talked a lot about a variety of things including their r/s but there wasn't a whole lot of showing. It didn't help that heroine tried hard to stay physically & emotionally distant from Hero. It just made for a distancing read.

I'd read this only if interested in Australian outback or slow-paced romance.
