My husband and I are getting ready to put in a terrace in our front yard and I needed some fresh ideas. I was very impressed with this book. It's filled with beautiful pictures of outdoor ideas for your yard. Beautiful floors, walls, arbors - I'm always looking at books and magazines for outdoor projects and many seem to be the same. This book provided fresh ideas. It doesn't give many directions to complete the projects but they aren't the type that need exact step-by-step directions. Great Book!

I have always thoroughly enjoyed the Taunton series of books, and this one is
no exception. I have read it dozens of times, studied the gorgeous photos, and been inspired to create similar works of my own.

your book if you need ideas for your backyard. Very commendable book if that you want are suggestions for you patio, fireplaces, outdoors rooms, backyard, fornitures, walkings etc. I think that all books of this collection Tauton Home Idea Books are very interesting and needed if you want enjoy your home and garden

This is one of the most beautiful books I have ever purchased. This book does not focus on the home; it focuses on "Outdoor Living." Although some of the pictures represent some very expensive homes, the majority of pictures represent the average american home. So the ideas are achieveable, and practical for everyone's budget. This book includes placement of plants, the variety and mixture of plants combinations, decorating patio's, and placement of outdoor kitchens.

Last year, I had to remove a beautiful old tree that had fallen victim to a hurricane. For months I looked at the space that my beloved tree once stood in my backyard. I often wondered about different ways of how to make that area of my yard more appealing, relaxing, beautiful, and enjoyable. This book gave me an "idea" of what to do, and that idea grew into a new area in my back yard that I now find comfort,and relaxation on a hot afternoon.

I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a "good idea."

This is a wonderful book for all styles of outdoor living. The photography is absolutely excellent. It makes a great gift.
