About Outdoor Products
Prior to 1973, Outdoor Products founders were busy retailing outdoor sporting goods in their Los Angeles-based department store, "The Famous Department Store." This retail establishment was know for its wide array of merchandise, and was the primary source for outdoor gear in Southern California at the time. Years of experience buying and selling outdoor gear eventually led the founders of Outdoor Products to design and manufacture their own goods, sold in their store and quickly embraced by customers. Eventually, items in the new product line became the most popular in all four locations.
Today, Outdoor Products is a worldwide outdoor sporting goods manufacturer and distributor, continuing a longstanding commitment to customer satisfaction backed by an unrivaled lifetime guarantee and a desire to create innovative, quality designs at affordable prices for outdoor enthusiasts and novices alike.
