Head out under clear skies in this low-profile watch cap. The polypropylene interior moves moisture away from your head and the nylon face gives a smooth feel. The contoured, stretch fit makes it an excellent helmet liner.

Great little hat which fits snugly under a cycling helmet. It weighs almost nothing and comes down far enough to keep my ears warm.

this thing is as thin as t-shirt material but surprisingly warm for its thickness and weight. i bought this as something to stuff into the pocket of my soft-shell jacket that wouldn't be bulky but would keep my head warm(er) in the event i got caught w/o a full-thickness polar-tec style fleece beanie. IMO it fits the bill. its not as warm as a fleece beanie, but its not supposed to be, its super thin and takes up 1/4 of the bulk. my only complaint is that it is a little small on my head. i got the small/med size, maybe i should have got the larger, (for perspective, i wear a 7.25-7.5 size in a boonie hat). this thing is great to stuff in your pocket as it takes up less room than a standard bandana.

Lightweight, but not so warm,

Weight and size: Very lightweight @ 22g (less than 1oz). Folds up to about the twice the size of a Bic lighter, and can easily disappear into a small pocket.Fit: My head is about 23" or 58cm (7 1/4 in US sizes) and I don't have a lot of hair. I ordered a L/XL, and I like the fit: snug, but not too tight. I can pull it down over the bottom of my ears, but just barely -- on someone with a lot of hair or a larger head, the L/XL wouldn't cover the ears and would fit more like a beanie than a watch cap. I'm not using it under a helmet, but the thin wicking material seems like it would be good for that use. There are four vertical seams in a cross pattern that intersect at the crown, but they stop 3 inches away from the brim. That's good for those people who don't want a red line running down the center of their forehead after taking a hat off. Protection: The thin material it's made of is warm relative to the weight, but it's so lightweight that that's not saying much. It might not be too far off the warmth of a very light 100 weight fleece cap, but it's nowhere near the warmth of a traditional wool or acrylic knit watch cap. It has a fairly dense weave that's OK at blocking wind, but not great. The material dries quickly. Material and construction: Made in China. According to the tag it's 63% nylon, 23% polyester, 14% spandex. The stitching and overall construction seem very solid. 2115|R3DGA4J21TPTZ;2115|R12AJ5TD52SVK5;2115|R31WUVEKDF659U;
