These gloves, while they look good, did not fit well when received, even when using the sizing guide provided. Then, after I got a smaller size, and they did, indeed, fit better, they were surprisingly ineffective in the cold. That is, my hands were cold (25 degrees F. outside) within about 5 minutes of walking outside. They were returned and I'll stick with a pair of thermals.
The fingertips did work great with the iPhone though!!!

These gloves work very well with the touchscreen on the iPhone. They even worked when I had it in a waterproof case mounted on my road bike. They weren't quite as responsive through that though. I wear them cross country skiing and at 20 degrees they are a little cold when I start, but 20 minutes in are fine. Very nice quality. They do run big. I normally wear medium and had to go down to small to fit my fingers tight.

Did not perform as expected - Amazon was great about letting my Dad return them.

These fit my needs perfectly. I like thinner gloves both for the tactile feel and because I'd rather my hands be cool and dry than hot and sweaty which eventually turns to cold and wet. These are just about perfect for that.

I did end up buying some touch compatible thin glove liners to go with these as well so I can fine tune the warmth to the weather. I was originally thinking I'd need touch compatible liners so that the touches could transfer through them to the gloves, but that turned out to be unnecessary since these gloves will work on the screen even when your hand isn't in them due to the touch-tec leather. The touch liners are good, though, if I need to pull the outer gloves off, the liners will still provide some protection from the cold.
