Laurel Saville is an award-winning author of numerous books, articles, essays, and short fiction. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in the LA Times Magazine, The Bennington Review, Ellipses, House Beautiful, POL/Oxygen, Room, Seven Days, and other publications. She holds an MFA from The Bennington Writer's Seminars and lives and writes in the Mohawk River valley of upstate New York. She is also a well-known design writer and corporate communications consultant, and has taught at the College of St. Rose and Western Connecticut State University.

This book gives ideas about how someday someone may want to make their back yard a nice place to hang out.

Although I don't have a house yet, I know when I do I'll be using this book to help with ideas and how to actually do projects because they show you how to do them in here.

The stonework in this book is beautiful.
