This is a wonderful album,

This is one fine jazz CD to come out this year. I love its funky sound. But it also sounds like jazz fusion (what it used to sound like), it has the blues and it can be spacey and beautiful sounding also. This album is extremely varied with many textures and timbres. I had never heard of Barbara but thought I'd give her music a try. A delightful suprise. The sonics are great also. Joe Ferla recorded this session and did a fine job capturing this session.

Outhipped is the word!,

This CD is really good and shows the different talents how to play a B3. The jazzy style is very much variant and shows the improvisation talent of Barbara. A must for jazz organ lovers!

One of her best!,

One of Barbara's best recordings, this features a large group of top sidemen, including Ray Anderson and Mitch Watkins, playing her own compositions. Barbara is on top form, justifying her position as the foremost jazz organist, using the whole range of the Hammond to produce some amazing jazz. Not to be missed!
