Great little book. Fantastic pictures and short stories that give light to the art of the outhouse, it's lore & personalization. A fitting tribute to an often overlooked piece of amreicana.

growing up in the "woods" and actually having an outhouse at our cabin, and seeing other cabins around the counties here is ny, made me intersted in this book. i also visited alaska in 2004, so i have a liking for alaska. the book was informative, colorful, scenic and i just loved the book and at a reasonable cost and shipped in a timely manner. i'd recommend this co. to anyone.

This is a wonderful little book, full of fantastic pictures of all kinds of designs, styles, and comfort levels of outhouses. I bought this book primarily to get design inspiration for the revamping of my own dilapidated outhouse, and I haven't been disappointed. Whether you want a simple outhouse or an elaborately decorated one, all kinds of design possibilities exist in this book. Plus, it's just plain fun reading and to see the joy and pride that some folks take in their outhouses.
