5.0 out of 5 stars Outandish Relationz
This group hasn't really tipped over here in the UK "yet", but if they do I'm sure they'll be huge! Their previous album was amazing as is this! I think the different ethnic styles they mixing in thier music makes it easier for diferent people to relate to it, and as a muslim just like them I'm real happy to see them making it mainstream.

3.0 out of 5 stars Check out bread and barrels of water
Check out Outlandish new album "bread and barrels of water". Especially "aisha", wich is very hot in danish radio is a fantastic song. But the entire album is worth listening to.

Definitely buy both thier albums if you want a distinct blend of hip hop and RnB, just like the styles which are now travelling through the hip hop industry of mixing asian tunes in with rap- OUTLANDISH did it 1st, and make it sound hectic! 5 starz!

5.0 out of 5 stars CHECK IT OUT!!!, April 25, 2003
This review is from: Outland's Official (+1 Bonus Track) (Audio CD)
All i can say is that this group deserve support!!!! their style is unique and their lyrics are heavy!!! Especially 4 muslims, their lyrics tell it how it is for us, from our point of view, livin in europe, interms of intolerance and discrimination and stuff. Its great to see a group with such a positive and intelligent vibe making it big!! they're gona take the UK by storm!!

These guys are in part responsible for the arabic and asian music influences we see these days coming from the US Rap/Hip Hop/RnB scene. Listen to their albums, especially the new one! Hope they come to the UK for tours and do some heavy promotions. They deserve respect!

5.0 out of 5 stars Really really good Rn'B/hip hop, March 26, 2003

This band is fantastic. Their music is really good, and it's different from other hip hop groups. They sing on a lot of languages and that's also a thing which makes the album worth listening to.
They have published another album called "Bread and barrels of water", which is even better than Outland's Official. Numbers like "Guantanamo" and "Aicha" is really big in Denmark, and their group is very popular in Denmark too.
So all I can say is, GET OUT AND BUY THE NEW ALBUM, you will defently not regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tite rapping, January 26, 2003

With some thought-provoking lyrics, interesting musical stylings, and a generally innovative mindset, this group is, to say the least, not your average rap crew. Some of the songs (e.g., "Stick 'Em Up") have a punkish feel to them. Many of the songs feature Arabic, Spanish, Urdu, and other languages. The lyrics deal with actual issues faced by immigrants to different countries, cultural (con)fusion, international issues (check out their single "Pacific to Pacific"). Their second album is also out, so check it out.
Stand out tracks: Walou, Wherever, Fatima's Hands

5.0 out of 5 stars Hip-Hop at another level, June 1, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Outland's Official (+1 Bonus Track) (Audio CD)
Ouland's Official, the band's first album, is a fascinating combination of many different things. Ranging from arabik samples to more than 4 different languages in their songs, this unique style has proved that hip-hop is something else than rapping about parties, weed and how we bust each other. It describes cultural clashes, misunderstandings and other views in life. The band has already received a lot of positive feedback in Denmark and slowly accross europe, they have also won two awards, one of which was a Danish Music Award for best Rap Group. Try it out...you'll fall for it too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rap from outside the US, April 26, 2001
This review is from: Outland's Official (+1 Bonus Track) (Audio CD)
Well my cousin first but on the Outlandish CD a couple of weeks ago, i thought it was just going to be another American All-Black band rapping about all their money. But the truth is the CD is my by a group of second-generation immigrants in Denmark, with their own new style. The album teels the story of living in another country, and mixes rap with R&B in a very pleasing blend, and bits of songs sung in Spanish. Definetely worth a listen.

El Moro,,,you probably heard that a couple of times in the album and stuff. These guyz amaze me with their confidence, guts, language and style of let's say :"Rapping".They know it all and they got it all right. And as they promised "just for the fun of it we'd do it again and again, again and again,2000 and three, foour, peeeeeeelo!!"
Isn't that amazing. For sometime, the lead singer "Esaam Bashar" drove me crazy,,also admiring Waqqas Ali and Roger Lenny Martinez, you rock guyz!!My favourite songs are Walou,Fatima's hands, and who would ever forget to mention "EL MOOOOOOROOOOOO" and "PEELO".
Anyhow, whether muslim or not, this album is amust because it traces out all the different cultures and ways of livin.
Yaalla, bye guyz and enjoy listening to it.And a big shout out goes out to Esaam,Waqqaas(your cuuuuute son and wife Hina) and Roger(did u ever think of getting with shakira ,u know cuba and colombia?)and to all the fans ..continue liking them!!!!!Coz they are the best guyz who ever mixed music together. And Ia gree with the other one who said "THEY DID IT FUUURRST"IF U EVER LISTEN TO ANY SONG THAT HAS THAT PERFECT TOUCH OF ARABIC MIXIED WITH URBAN MUSIQ,GOT HIP HOP AND RAP IN IT AND HAS A SMOOTH TUNE TO IT,THEN IT'S EITHER THEM .OR ..........IT'S JUST A REPLICA TO THEIR STLYE.Be careful ppl.these guys are real,,so watch out for their new stuff.coz it's true and from the heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars OUTLANDISH GIVE NEW MEANING TO URBAN MUSIC, February 11, 2004
This review is from: Outland's Official (+1 Bonus Track) (Audio CD)
Outlandish are a very extraordinary and unique urban band which touch on subjects such as faith, tradition, culture, uneasiness, injustice and love in their songs. Their lyrics are based on life, either by describing society, or describing the feelings through the eyes of specific people, or certain group. These lyrics are blended together with a tune or beat which always manages to blend naturally with the lyrics, causing a sing along feel to the song. Outlandish are one of those unique bands which have very high quality songs which will be liked by anyone who actually gets to hear the song. The Marketing and Promotional techniques will determine how big Outlandish will become. The new album "Bread and Barrels of Water" is a must buy.
