Western writer Phillip W. Steele serves as president of the National Outlaw and Lawman History Association and is a member of the Western Writers of America. This book and accompanying music cassette are superb! I was intriqued to learn the true history of many famous old west outlaws from this great little book. Phillip W. Steele is informative and entertaining, letting the reader in on some of the juicy, little-known facts of legendaries Jesse James, John Westley Hardin, Billy the Kid, Belle Starr, and the Gunfight at the OK Corral. John D. LeVan's original songs written for this book-music cassette collection further tell the stories of these outlaws. LeVan's music is dynamic, solid-wall-western, with a beat and rhythm so pounding, the only thing to do is try to stay on your horse, hang on to the reins and wait for the ballads! John D. LeVan is surely destined to become huge in the music industry!
