Good old nelson and intro to Coe's early songs,
By Gino Nathansaiopoluos "Gino" (Fargo, ND) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Outlaws (Audio CD)
This is a neat little cd. Why? It's an intro to some of Willie's oldest-- and most *heartfelt* songs (50s-60s).....it is also a great intro to the older work of Coe. It's not a studio album--both men are NOT recording together--instead it's a rather unique and good compliation of the two singers early stuff. It's an Italian Import. It's also a BUDGET release and can be found on auction sites for around 9.99. At that price it's a must-have. It's not worth more than the normal CD price however. I'd give it a B+....but most importantly--these songs can be found elsewhere and although it's great listening -- there's nothing here that warrant rushing to purchase. There is NO artwork other than the cover insert--and no liner notes. If you are a casual Nelson fan this is NOT for you....and if you are looking for the rebelious--and outlaw Coe--he's not found here--this album is in Coe's pre-outlaw--formative years--and it's all very G Rated material. (Still good Coe music however!!)

not worth a dime,
This review is from: Outlaws (Audio CD)
amazon doesn't have "18 x-rated hits" by david allen coe this doesn't even have any songs off it. I know that record has some crazy, and the lyrics may hurt some feelings, but really, when you and other "main stream" music like Bloodhound gang, and Manson, or 2$hort records, do you really have a leg to stand on when it comes to cencership?.
