This book is aimed at researchers who need to write clear and understandable manuscripts in English. Today, English is the official language of international conferences and most important publications in science and technology are written in English. Therefore, learning how to write in English has become part of the researcher's task. The book begins by discussing constructs of the English language such as sentence structure and word use. Some of the topics covered include: Planning of a Manuscript; Authorship; References; Tables and Figures; Submission to a Journal; Production Schedules. 5.0 out of 5 stars A good writing guide, September 25, 2010

This review is from: Outline Of Scientific Writing, An, For Researchers With English As A Foreign Language (Paperback)

This book is a excellent writing guide for scientific writing. In my option, it is especially useful for students whose major is biology or chemistry and the Chinese students. I guess the reason is that the author is originally from China, and his background is related with chemistry and some other areas.

4.0 out of 5 stars alright book, not very helpful, March 18, 2011

This review is from: Outline Of Scientific Writing, An, For Researchers With English As A Foreign Language (Paperback)
It used a lot of pages to go through grammar problems which there are many other excellent books to address. It is not very in depth on scientific specific topics. Good for beginners maybe.
