Not worth your money,
By roco (Houston, TX) - See all my reviews

This book simply contains vocabulary words, it doesn't even give you summarizations on topics, sections, chapters, etc. The website which is subscription based is definitely not worth your money either. Whoever is making the quizzes needs to make them MORE challenging, the questions are a no brainer.
Example from Multiple Choice and "Mastery," respectively. A _________ is an enzyme that phosphorylates a six-carbon sugar, a hexose, to a hexose phosphate. In most tissues and organisms, glucose is the most important substrate of hexokinases, and glucose 6-phosphate the most important product. a) Lipid b) Glucose c) Digestion d) Hexokinase An _________ is a water-soluble, sour-tasting chemical compound that when dissolved in water, gives a solution with a pH of less than 7. a) Acid b) Organism c) Isotope d) Enzyme The books provide much more challenging questions which stimulate thought, save your money and skim through the book if you're pressed for time.

I don't usually write reviews on the products I bought on AMazon but for this one I probably will.. U know when you want a book so bad tht u kind of ignore the comments posted about this book and hope that they were wrong... Incorrect!!! They were right... This Book has no purpose trust me.. I'm taking cell Biology and Genetics this semester I bought both manuals when they came.. apparently the book was a list of unecessary key terms related to each chapter... No outline or highlights on key concepts... When I bought these books I returned them ... Glad I did... Please do yourself a favor don;t buy them... The company should def revise their books.. These books shouldn't be allowed to be sell...
Just & read, study & practice...Stop cramming ... but if you want to get up to speed with the concepts what I do is read Biology or Genetics for dummies first & then read the chapter in the Textbook.. Tht way I read the textbook much faster since i already grabbe dthe essence of each chapter by reading the dummies for 10 minutes...

Basically a list of terms. Nothing informative at all. I bought this book for my daughter for her class and she stopped using it after the first lesson. The title and description are misleading. Do not buy this book. Might as well just give away your money. Very disappointed.
Amazon was more than helpful with the return process...but it wasn't worth the shipping to send it back.
