Toe tappin' originals played masterfully,

This review is from: Outrageous (Audio CD)
This album, while disappointingly brief for a CD, contains some wonderful instrumental renditions of original songs by Byron Berline. The music style oscillates between old time mountain music and C&W swing. Some of the melodies may be a bit forgettable, but if you like these styles of music you will enjoy the playing of Byron and friends, who take turns putting their individual twists on each number. True aficionados of these old musical styles often wonder "Why isn't anyone writing anything new like the old tunes?" Well, Byron Berline has been doing it, and here is a chance to enjoy his work. Original album from 1980, released in CD format.
