5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT CD!
This is a must-have for ANY Britney fan. The basic song "Outrageous" is catchy, and makes you want to dance, and the three remixes add even more. There's also a great Toxic remix (I think it's almost as good as the original) and two nice Everytime mixes. It comes in a matching box, with the jewel case and CD inside. It also has a full booklet of promo pictures, and...

2.0 out of 5 stars This single cost Britney's knee!
There's nothing outrageous about the title song - it's a lame, mind-numbing piece of crap compared to many other songs found on the "In the Zone" album: Imagine "Breathe on Me", "Touch of My Hand" or "Shadow" on constant radio play or running on MTV. And no, we're not apparently going to have that because Britney's precious time was wasted in incorporating this bore of a...

This review is from: Outrageous Remixes (Audio CD)
I just recieved this in the mail from Amazon.com after ordering it last week. I just have to say that it was so worth the money. The whole package is so beautiful, with great glossy pics of Britney, and even a lyric booklet in both english, and japanese. The remixes to Outrageous are OFF THE HOOK! I hope they play them at the clubs. Either way, this was a great BUY! Hurry and order now, because the slipcase and booklet are only going to be available in the first pressing!

There's nothing outrageous about the title song - it's a lame, mind-numbing piece of crap compared to many other songs found on the "In the Zone" album: Imagine "Breathe on Me", "Touch of My Hand" or "Shadow" on constant radio play or running on MTV. And no, we're not apparently going to have that because Britney's precious time was wasted in incorporating this bore of a song into a single and even attempting a video out of it, like we know ended up in Britney's injury. For nothing.
Fortunately for this single, it's got the already legendary "Toxic" and a marvelous vocal mix version of "Everytime" - another star for that.

4.0 out of 5 stars cool joint, March 18, 2011
This review is from: Outrageous Remixes (Audio CD)
da king of R&B R.Kelly wrote and Produced "Outrageous" and this joint was catchy. Britney been holding things down for years, she can do whatever she wants with her musical stylings. she has a pressence in her music. the mixes here arew tight including the ones for toxic. this was a cool jam back in the day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Britney Spears Outrageous Single, July 22, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Outrageous Remixes (Audio CD)
Outrageous is the 4th single from Britney's 4th studios album "In The Zone". This song used to be one of my favorites, but now I just think it's O.K. There are other songs on the album that could have made a much better single (Breathe On Me or Touch Of My Hand...). This EP comes with seven remixes. Some of them are good, others not so good.

1. Outrageous (8/10) - Like I said before, not the best song. It's alot more urban than the rest of the album, and R. Kelly's weird chants get a little annoying, but overall it's O.K.

2. Outrageous (Murk Space Miami Mix) (7/10) - A little too long for my taste. The lyrics are spread out randomly all over this remix, so it's hard to sing along to.

3. Outrageous (Junkie Xl's Dancehall Mix) (10/10) - Probably the best Outrageous remix. It's more upbeat than the album version, but it's still the same song, if you know what I mean. And it's short, clocking in at a little under three minutes.

4. Outrageous (Junkie XL's Tribal Mix) (6/10) - Again, too long for my taste. It's an O.K. remix, probably the weakest one on here though.

5. Toxic (Armand Van Helden Remix Edit) (9/10) - This remix has a great instrumental. It's good to dance to too, but it's a little too long.

6. Everytime (Above & Beyond's Club Mix) (8/10) - This remix is weird. The instrumental almost makes the song depressing. There's little singing on Spears' part in this song. And it's way too long, almost over nine minutes.

7. Everytime (Scumfrog Haunted Dub) (5/10) - Definitely the worst remix on here. Britney doesnt sing at all, so you basically have to rely on the instrumental for it to be a good remix, which ultimatiley fails.

So there are my scores for each song. The Amazon track listing is wrong, Toxic (Bloodshy & Avant's Intoxicated Mix) is NOT on here. This EP also comes with a booklet of promo and tour pictures, a lyrics booklet with the lyrics in English and Japanese, and an Obi Strip. If you are a Spears' fan, I would definitely get this, because trust me, It's going to become rare.

Overall rating - 7/10

4.0 out of 5 stars Outrageous Remixes a pleasant surprise., October 19, 2007

This review is from: Outrageous Remixes (Audio CD)
I like every song on Britney's 2003 album "In the Zone"; that remains her best album to date and I'm sorry it didn't fare better--she was singing, better than ever, and every song had a different feel to it but they all flowed together very smoothly. It's a shame that the video for this single was cut short by her knee injury; Britney never got to make a full clip for it. This CD maxi single from Japan makes up for that; the fun, sassy original version is followed by three extraordinary remixes as strong as the original and yet with a unique flavor to each. The "Murk Space Miami Remix" is very trance-y, with the lyrics thrown in more sparsely; not my favorite remix, but not bad, either--I give it an 8. The "Junkie XL's Dancehall Remix" I like better(a 9), with a more emphatic tone overall and more pronounced drumbeats throughout. Best of all, I like the "Junkie XL's Tribal Mix", with the strongest vibe of all, which whips you into an all-out impassioned dance frenzy, the dramatic, Middle Eastern undertone brought to the forefront for the majority of the song; a definite 10. Remixes of "Toxic(Armand Van Helden Remix)" and "Everytime(Above & Beyond Club Mix; Scumfrog Haunted Dub)" are also included, all masterpieces of extreme club mix glory. (Usually, club mixes are dismissed as not interesting, but I'd rather listen to a well-executed club mix than be disappointed by something that would seem to give a more unique approach and then doesn't deliver.)An excellent remix CD overall, well worth the money--especially at the current discounted rate; buy one now, before they're gone!
