5.0 out of 5 stars Whatever happened to #6?
I was reading these as a teenager in the eighties. The run abruptly stopped with a promise at the end of #5: Coming Soon #6 Black Death. I waited for months, then years, then the publisher was unreachable. The Mad Max-like character known as Bonner was gone for good it seemed. This review is from: The Outrider (Paperback)
I was reading these as a teenager in the eighties. The run abruptly stopped with a promise at the end of #5: Coming Soon #6 Black Death. I waited for months, then years, then the publisher was unreachable. The Mad Max-like character known as Bonner was gone for good it seemed. Nearly 15 years later, with the powers of Amazon.com and the Internet, I learned that Richard Harding was an alias for a real New York author named Robert Tine. Using the white pages, I happened to call the right number and talk to the man himself. Worried that I was bothering him, I kept it short. He said that the series ended when the publisher went under and that the Outrider would "ride no more". He said that he has copies of the series hidden from his young child.

Im into Road Wars, not just a vid game, but i do autoduelling Car Wars, im a trucker, might as well be a help, rather than hinder people. These books go along the lines of what i also do write. Good theme, kept a good line on series. Easy to read, level of writing style is adequate. Nice job, good author.
Amazon, and B&N gave me a way to purchase these printed books. And in good shape too! Way 2 go!

Plus, pricing was awesome, and shipping grrrreat!
An enthusiastic, and appreciative sort

5.0 out of 5 stars the outrider-the educator, February 15, 2011

the outrider series is a good education. the reader walkes thru the pages and discovers a ravaged and war torn america.no longer can we go to the loacal mart and pick up what we want.many things that we take for granted are now denied to us. our personal security is no longer guaranteed.the family system, that we take for granted,is gone.human society appears to have completely devolved. a good book makes one think and hopefully places cautious fear--a healthy fear within us. the outrider does this.as we move thru the hell the earth has fallen into-hopefully we come to appreciate the good that exists in our lives and environmen. after reading the outrider we will stand up to protect what life has given us.so the next time some ignorant person wants to settle national disputes with thermonuclear weapons--please get them some mental help.
