The thing I like about the Outset Rectangular Grill Press, is that its dimensions are a bit larger than a lot of the others so you can get a couple sandwiches or burgers under it. Just remember to scrub the protective coating off of it when brand new, then season it like you normally do for cast iron. Otherwise the fumes will be atrocious and it will rust.

This was the only one affordable with grill capability in use. Weighty, big, nice wooden handle. I deducted one star for lack of instructions. When I put it on heat, I was nearly knocked over by fumes from the finish.

We use this to BBQ Steak's or Burger's what a delight to use for faster cooking.
Also great for pressing Bacon. We pre-seasoned ours with cooking oil first, the weight of the press is perfect for our home.

I was looking for a Grill press to help me fry bacon. I use 10" cast iron frying pan. This grill press is 8" diameter. I was skeptical about it covering all of the bacon to keep it flat. When first putting the bacon in the pan, it is spread out larger than the grill press, but as the bacon fries it skrinks, so the end result is the bacon fries fast and ends up flat. I am happy I finally got a press to keep the bacon flat when frying. Oh yes, and the handle, it doesn't get hot.

If you like nice 'toasty' grilled cheese and other grilled sandwiches, you may wonder how you functioned without one of these bad boys. I do not use it on an outdoor grill, but inside with my frying pan or other large skillet. Could certainly be used for burgers on the grill (that may even be the product's intention). The only downside is you must wash it immediately and dry it thoroughly or it will rust. Well, maybe a little iron isn't a bad thing!
