Outside Television: The Hudson Riverkeepers [VHS]
I found this very inspiring of what a group of people can do to protect a part of the environment, the Hudson River which empties by New York City. Riverkeepers are hired to monitor the well-being the the river, the fisheries, pollution levels and usage. The Riverkeepers have been very successful in pursuing legal action action against computers that polluted the river resulting in fish returning and ecosystems becoming viable again after years of dumping. Robert Kennedy Jr. does much of the narration and he is very knowledgeable and effective in communicating Riverkeepers efforts and successes and enjoyable to hear. Well done. |
