A previous comment implied that YIS wanted to be Circa Survive. I strongly disagree. Sure, the vocal tone is similar; but the melodies are completely different and their lyrics share no commonalities. YIS is an incredible band...and vocalist, kyle lobeck, has some of the best lyrics i've ever heard. i bought the album last year as soon is it was released and i still listen to it. it's an amazing piece of art. buy it, love it.

I disagree with the statement that You In Series wants to be Circa Survive... Personally I like Circa more than YIS... but either way, they have different styles. YIS is not nearly as experimental/moody sounding.

The album itself has high points of emotion. It's pretty easy to really get into them. I was also pretty impressed with the energy put into the last song on the album, "Often Too Much Thomas Kincade." Nice way to end it, I think.

This could be good or bad, depending on tastes and the moment, but YIS has some questionable vocal rhythms... At times it's a little awkward sounding, but I think overall it turned out quite nicely. :D

This band wants to be Circa Survive. I mean really, really wants to be Circa Survive. It was pretty obvious to me from the very first listen. However, Circa Survive is much much better than this. This album is just okay for me and I listen to it occasionally. If you're looking for a watered down version of Juturna, then you'd be happy purchasing this.
