I've been waiting for months for this release and it lives up to my expectations, which is an understatement. Anyone who appreciated the careful structure of Walk It Off, will not be let down. I read the Pitchfork review of Outside (5.5/10) and was thrown off a little by the reviewer's stance. He bashes the album, claiming that after the band's success from The Loon, they lost appeal because, "they sound a little like a lot of bands but never very much like any one band-- namely, themselves." After listening to the album in its entirety, it's hard to imagine anyone disliking it or calling it unoriginal.

As usual, Tapes 'n Tapes provides a good mix of slower, funky songs with some upbeat rock sounds. With their third album release, they do a great job of getting back to their roots a bit more than they did with Walk it Off (not that it was a bad album, but different from what made me love their music so much).

Favorite songs so far - Badaboom, Freak Out, Outro, Mighty Long

Check it out...even if you buy the MP3 album for $4 - it's definitely worth risking the $4 even if you hate it!

Always been a Tapes fan !!! BUT this is the best yet! Gets better every time I listen !

Can't pick a favorite song.... gaurantee if you take time to buy/listen you will want to hear it again and again and again. Feel good band and music! Glad you are back !
