My little Gracie is the sweetest little thing. Honest! The only problem is that she has certain... triggers. Every time someone knocks on our front door, that little white dog turns into the loudest thing you've ever heard. I swear, it's like she grows an extra set of lungs, or a fog horn or something. Another trigger of hers is other dogs. She's a tiny little thing with a huge Napoleon complex, so even dogs that could swallow her whole like an hors d'oeuvre get the full "You wanna go?" treatment. The barking was annoying but livable, but I was a little concerned about her getting into fights. What if a dog at the park decided to teach her a lesson when wasn't able to? What if she decided that shiny metal dog named "Toyota Corolla" really had it coming and Gracie decided to bring the fight out into the middle of the road?

I had never heard of Outstanding Pet, but a friend of me pointed me in their direction. Still not sure, I went to the website --turns out they're based in Chicago, which was a plus for me (I have major home town pride). I asked a few questions to customer service, mostly just to get a feel for the company. They seemed very friendly and knowledgeable about their product, so I decided to place an order.

A shock collar wasn't the first thing I tried but it will be the last. As soon as the collar arrived in the mail (remarkably fast, I might add!) I put it on Gracie and decided to go to the park for a test. Before we even got to the park, we ran into young couple walking their golden. I saw that old look in Gracie's face, and pushed the vibrate button--I don't think I'd ever seen a dog look so confused! But within a few seconds she was fixated on the golden again, so I opted for a small shock. I had decided that Gracie (being so small) would probably respond to the lightest shock, and I was right, plus I'm glad I didn't have to use anything stronger! We kept walking, and when we got right by the golden Gracie started to look interested, but I hit the vibrate button again, and it worked like a charm! She was learning!

I'll admit, even with my friend's glowing review, I was dubious about the remote. While it feels solid enough, there's just this little nubbin at the top for an antenna. Nevertheless, when Gracie was at the dog park, she would visibly respond to a quick push of a button, even when running around!

I was hesitant to try this, and I was close to trying a different manufacturer, but I'm glad I went with outstanding pet! Highly recommended!

I got the unit and was very excited by the description, rechargeable battery, great range. However, after only 4 uses the vibrating function stopped working and I had to repair twice. I returned the unit well before the 14 day return period and I was charged a 15% restocking fee. Also for everyone out there be sure to read the fine print, it is sold as being "water proof" but if you read the fine print that it comes with it is says it is actually "weather resistant" and that any water damage will void the 1 yr warranty.

I have tried 2 other collars in the past. This collar is by far the best and most durable collar that I have tried esp for the range that it has. My Shepherd mix is aggressive towards other dogs. After a few light shocks progressed to a few vibrations, I now only need to say his name and NO. The same goes for his nonstop barking to people passing by our home. He now barks once, I say his name and tell him good boy!. I have not needed to use the vibration lately with very few exceptions. I am hoping that in the future that I will be able to take the collar off of him and get the same response. But if all he needs is to wear the collar to behave then it is money well spent. Best collar for the money out there.

First of all, I would like to say that my dog, Dakota, a pit bull was one of those dogs that was very palyful and always wanted to do things her way. Well, one day while out at the park with the kids, Dakota decided to take off and I was unable to hold her back. In a state of shock and fear that she would hurt someone, my husband quickly took off after her and was able to step on her leash and gain control of her. Immediatly we went home and discussed that if we were going to have a dog of such a breed , we would need to train her to be obedient. My first thought was O lets pay for a school & of course my husband being cheap went onine and researched various dock collars, choke chains and etc....None of them appealed to him until he stumpled across the DR-500M. He bought it because 1 the reviews the product had on it, and 2 the price was very reasonable. I tell you what, 3 weeks after purchasing this product, I could never be happier. I would say that I am 100% sure that I would feel comfortable letting Dakota run free at a park and know that she was trained and had on the best equipment out there. The DR-500M.

GO GET YOUR SELF 1!

I have a tiny Russel-terrier named Lucky, with the mouth of a bulldog. I have tried so many ways to stop him from barking. If there was a single noise such as a car or even the bark of a dog on t.v., he was on it. My latest purchase of the Outstanding Remote Trainer Shock Collar was the best solution to this problem.
This collar actually helped Lucky not bark as much. I have been able to teach my dog some new tricks as well. The saying "You can't teach an old dog new tricks" is not true with this masterpiece. Lucky is now off his leash running around the yard and their is trust. I do not even need to put the collar on him when we go outside.
There are so many great features that are included with the Outstanding Pet Remote Trainer Shock Collar. First off, this collar is actually waterproof. This is great for when your dog has to use the bathroom in the middle of a storm. Are you as environmentally friendly as you should be. This collar is Eco-Friendly so you can be sure you are helping out our planet.
A 550 yard range is a great distance. This is five and a half football fields. This is good when a dog slips away. All of us dog owners know they run when we're lest paying attention. Have you ever been standing outside of your car in a busy street? You think, "there he is if I go he runs if I wait he stays". Well these types of situations will be cut down drastically.
In order to sum up my experience with my Outstanding Pet DR-500M Remote Trainer Shock Collar, life changing would be the word. Teaching my dog new fun and useful tricks is great. Helping my predicament of "loud animal syndrome" is even better. I give this collar a 5 star rating and wish I could give it more. If you're looking for a useful and enjoyable experience in how good a dog can be, this should be your number one choice.

We bought this training shock collar because we have a 1 year old, 85 pound black lab. He is a good dog, but he had some issues that were making life miserable for my husband, my self and my 3 little boys. He use to jump and "mouth" the boys every time I turned around, jump on guests, steal food off the table and counter multiple times a day,and chew on EVERYTHING. I was CONSTANTLY yelling at him, and the boys were constantly screaming at him for mouthing them and stealing their toys out of their hands. I bought this training collar with high hopes of transforming him to the "perfect dog". Even with my high expectations I was amazed at the outcome. We have had the collar for a month now, but only had it on the dog for about a week and have never shocked him. We used the vibrate warning 3 times on him in the first 2 days and he has literally been transformed. He NEVER mouths the boys anymore. I can leave fresh baked bread on the counter and he doesn't go near it. He drops anything he picks up the second we say "drop it". He sits when guest come over and never jumps. I know, it sounds too good to be true, but it is! He obviously always knew what was right and wrong, but he wasn't concerned about the consequences or didn't respect our authority over him until we vibrated him THREE TIMES. He instantly "got it" and clearly respects our place as "Alpha" now. It was probably the best $100 bucks I've ever spent! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! (Oh, the only note of caution is that the battery on the collar burns out in about 15 hours. So you have to charge it every night. It wasn't an issue for us, 'cause he only wore it for a week anyway.)

The seller was prompt and the merchandise was just as advertised. This shock collar has allowed me to take my dog for walks without a leash to get tangled with other dogs' leashes. I seldom have to use it unless my dog gets seriously distracted by something. I highly recommend this product and the seller.

I purchased this collar about 2 months ago and LOVE IT! We have a 2 year old Welsh Terrier with a head as hard as Mount Rushmore! We had a Pet Safe unit before but the receiver broke and I couldn't get it fixed. My remote on the Outstanding Pet stopped working after 2 months I went online and chatted with a representative and received a replacement in two days. The vibrating feature got my dogs attention immediately without a shock required and made her jump like I lit her up with the shocker.

I only have to show her the remote and or call her now and she listens like never before, this is an OUTSTANDING product, the price beats everyone else the vibrating feature, lightweight rechargable receiver and compact transmitter are awesome. If your loooking for an attention getting training collar for your dog save your money and buy this system. If you have a sporting dog that goes to water buy the more expensive collars that are waterproof made by another company. If Outstanding Pet ever makes a waterproof collar I'd recommend it over anything else.

Welsh Terriers are known for being stubborn, on a scale of 1 to 5, five being the easiest to train they are rated a one. This collar has made my dog a five and that's saying something.

A dog is like a child and always needs attention and sometimes misbehaves. However, it is harder to communicate and train a dog since it is less human. I had problems training my dog. Therefore, I decided to purchase the remote trainer which is just simply awesome! I have used 3 units before to try train the dogs. But they were not as effective as the Outstanding Pets DR-500M remote trainer. I used Pet Safe before and it didn't help. Also the other products I bought before cost too much. The battery lasts for a long time and unlike the other products like PetSafe, this Outstanding Pet Trainer shows the battery meter. It also has a screen that indicates the range. This great remote trainer is packed with everything and I couldn't have been more pleased. Awesome product!!!

From out of the box, this unit has been great! The vibration option has been a Godsend for the training of our GSP dog. He is such a mild spirit, I just hated the thought of correcting him by static correction. The vibration option has been just the ticket! Vibrations that are no more harsh than a cell phone on vibration has corrected our dog for so many bad habits without the apprehension of the static charge that many other collars bring. It does have the option of static correction, but we have yet to need it.

I love the replacement of the AAA batteries in the remote and the mechanical switching on this collar and remote vs. the Innotek Free Spirit collar we had before.

In short, this collar, so far is awesome!
