I love this new album... contrary to the previous review!,

I feel they are a constantly changing and EVOLVING band! Who wants to listen to the same thing over and over? Not me! Give it a chance, at first I thought, 'hmmmm!, very different than the last album'. Four songs hooked me right away, and I had to listen to the rest of the album a few times before I could fully appreciate the range of style and genius of this band's work. Give it a chance and I think you will agree. 'No Sad Story', 'Pakistani Man Says', and 'Fire in the Pit' are hard-core rockin'. While 'Hawaiin Dreams' is the perfect song to kick back and just daydream to. I have been tired of listening to the same types of music over and over for the last couple of years, these guys are fresh and just what music needed, it's soul back!

The Flys have an original sound that can't be equaled. I actually look forward to sitting in traffic as long as The Flys are on my CD player!

Another great one from the Flys...,

Overall, this is a great CD. There are one or two songs I don't like very much, but the good outweights the bad in this case. 'No Sad Story,' 'Helluva Time,' 'Losin It,' and 'Fire In the Pit' are some of my top choices. The previous reviewer mentioned a few songs as being "Hard-core." By definition, this isn't exactly hardcore. If you're not familiar with the Flys' music, then don't buy this expecting to hear screaming and heavy guitar riffs - this isn't that type of hardcore. Overall, this is a good CD, and I recommend it. In my opinion it isn't quite as good as the Flys' previous release, 'Holiday Man,' but it's still good nevertheless.

YEARS AGO my wife bought this CD because she liked the song 'Hawaiian Dreams.' She played that song [the last track], the CD went to track 1 and kept playing. It caught my attention and I asked who it was. She told me and said that it was not what she expected and didn't really like the other songs. I said not to touch that dial because I LIKE IT!
I actually heard this album FIRST before buying their older CD. Frankly, I didn't care for Holiday Man as much as Outta My Way. To each his own, but I love this album! It rocked then, and still rocks today. Don't look for any musical genius here. Don't even try to make sense of most of the lyrics. Whether it's 'Losing It' or 'Pakistani Man Says,' this stuff is catchy, likeable and just plain fun. When I'm in the mood for something that rocks and I'm tired of the new stuff, Outta My Way!

Compared to "Holiday man" I didn't like this album.
But I didn't give it too much of a chance before I sold my cd collection...

Weird... different... cool !,

It's a shame so many people view the Flys as one-hit-wonders. I've found this one and Holiday Man in the bargain bin... and they're both wacky, goofy fun to crank up. Their sound is an unusual mix of styles and it's great "party music". Sure the lyrics are juvenile, but that's all part of the fun! Enjoy. (Check out the track "Helluva Time" -- I think it's about picking up a hooker. Can't say I've heard many bands take on that topic!)

Great Band!,

My prefered choice of music is Hard Rock and Metal, which this band is neither. Nevertheless, I really really like this band because they contain good musicianship, songwrtiing and good old guitar power chords through their songs. The song "Got You" moves me and sing it full throttle in my car, in the shower and to my kids...I just love it. I highly recommend this CD to anyone...it will put you in a good mood and start your day off just right. I wish The Fly's all the accolades they deserve.

With great anticipation, I purchased Outta My Way. I absolutly loved Holiday Man. The wide variety of styles of music, coupled with interesting uses of vocal distortion, made HM one of my favorites.Same cannot be said about OMW. I've read some other reviews, most complain of a lack of artistic evolution with this band. MY problem was that they seem to have devolved. HM was playful, and inventive. OMW is juvenille, and a monotonous. I hope that this band eventually releases another album, one day. I just hope they do a better job.

Oh my god! I have the Disturbing Behavior soundtrack and I see their song "Got you(where I want you)" and it totally rocked. Then I go into amazon to look up their cd, hoping it would rock just like the song did. So i listen to the samples and I wasnt feelin any of the songs. I felt "GOT YOU" and this cd sucked. DONT BUY THIS
