...like about half of the songs on the cd...was looking for more music that identified with God; most songs seem to just have club beats and sing about life in general

A mom's review,

I love all types of Christian music, from hymns to contemporary to alternative and rap. My tween-age kids, however, mostly enjoy music with a techno beat. I love that this group provides that with a positive faith message. I don't mind that there isn't deep theology in the lyrics because they can't understand that at their age. What seems like simple lyrics to an adult with a "faith-lite" message is actually a message that the kids may be hearing for the first time. Not all of the songs are about faith but are about friendship and waiting for the right person. If you read the lyrics, you can appreciate the values that G1C is promoting. I feel bad for the Christian artists who are criticized by their brothers and sisters in Christ for not being spiritual enough. Really, can any of us say that every single thing we say and produce has an overt biblical message? I want to commend this music group for committing their work to the Lord and I think the rest of us should give them grace to do it in their own way. The songs vary in style and tempo so you don't feel like the whole album is the same. I was surprised at the sound of Wait, which is a cross between the motown sound of the 60's and the techno beat of today. I absolutely loved it, because although I'm in my thirties I also enjoy listening to the motown oldies music . My kids loved this album and asked me to burn a CD so they can listen in their rooms. I'm grateful for G1C for creating music they can dance to and relate to, especially after my daughter's friends taught her the lyrics to some Katy Perry songs. It's disturbing to suddenly hear your 9 yo singing about sex on the beach). Also, it's difficult for me to find good Christian music I can exercise to and this is perfect. There's a time for meditating and there's a time for dancing, and this music is perfect for dancing.

It is nice to finally have a christian hip-hop group with talent! The whole album is pretty cool. My favorite song would have to be Manipulation. The whole album is up-beat, and it will want to make you dance!
