Melanie was born in Nelspruit, South Africa, and has been residing in Johannesburg for the past 6 years. She has traveled extensively throughout the world. She started writing around the age of 14 as a way of dealing with her emotions, and has been doing so ever since. She graduated college at the age of 20 with a diploma in Hotel Management and Public Relations.

As the book has not been released yet, I should tell you that I have seen the proof of the book. Melanie happens to be a personal friend.

I find the writings to be intense and the style unique, and totally different to anything I've ever seen before. Her words are moving and honest, and Mel tells it like it is.
