Single-player mode is another story--it gets dull quickly, especially compared to more established titles like Unreal Tournament and Quake 3: Arena (both available for Dreamcast), which have more variety. Controlling the action using a gamepad is very difficult--the keyboard and mouse setup is highly recommended. Users with small televisions may find four-player mode difficult to follow. Although the game's single-player mode is subpar, Outtrigger is a good choice for Dreamcast owners (especially those with broadband adapters) looking for multiplayer excitement. --Raymond M. Padilla

Probably the !BEST! FPS (first person shooter) for DC,

This game has been enjoyed by all my friends. So i'm gonna say what i think about this game. GRAPHICS: The graphics are incredible. Harnessing the dreamcasts power to battle reality. A fast paced game that never slows down (it hardly ever overloads and processes slowly). CONTROL: This games control is a little bit hard with just a controler but you'll get used to it if go through the training levels (by the way there are different controler settings). Or you could spend another ($) on a mouse and keyboard, your choice. People say it's so hard with a controler, but honestly it's not. GAMEPLAY: This game was developed off of the arcade version. So any of you who say the storyline stinks, you tell me what advendture arcade game that has an rpg storyplot. Anyways this game was designed for multiplayer status. You can upgrade characters and weapons through the "mission" mode, and you can create a specialized character, so the replay value is very high. I'd recomend this game for people who have enjoyed FPS from the N64, and to people who have younger syblings and lots of freinds so you can beat the tar out of them when they're being anoying (on the video game of course). Or to people who want a great game. MUSIC: OUTTRIGGER's music is nothing to brag about so don't set yourself up for great music. And that about wraps it up for the game Outtrigger. Overall it's a game not worth missing if youi like FPS (first person shooters). For the parents, it's not a "lood and guts flying every game" more like electronic explosion and lasers. So don't worry about being to gorry.

Outtrigger,

I just bought this game and its the most fun I ever had with a game. I haven't even played 1p yet. when I first heard of Outtrigger and that it was a fps i assumed it would be something like unreal or another game with a lot of ugly people covered in dirt and rusty armor. I was pleasently surprised to see the characters resemble anime characters. I love how even the basic guns make huge explosions. mplayer w/ four players is NUTS! theres not a second of free time. ps. i am not much of a gamer so if u are really into games maybe u should read some other reviews too

This is definately the best fps I've played, since Perfect Dark for n64. I love fps' but some just fallout regardless of their hype. This was not one of those games. When I first played i was awed by the futuristic feel of the game as well as the classic, never boring rocket launchers and guns that just blow stuff up. Most fps' have only 1st person views wich some people feel is awkward especially if one of your opponents is behind you while another is in front. The game accomodates for all video game players. The 4 player mode with internet capability makes this game fun. And the 40 single player missions make this game challenging and sometimes addictive. In my opinion this game is definately worthy of the title of this review.
