Amazon.com Review
Bill Adler Jr. has put together a great book filled with useful information on how to deal with troublesome critters in your life, from ants to alligators, ducks to deer, mice to moose! Written with wit and the voice of a true storyteller, the book is not only factual and helpful, but a lot of fun to read. Adler's preference for not using poisons and pesticides is more environmentally friendly, and in the long run, outwitting the bothersome creatures in your life simply works better. --Mark A. Hetts
From Library Journal
Adler, author of Outwitting Squirrels (Chicago Review Pr., 1988) and The Home Remodeler's Combat Manual (HarperCollins, 1991), here includes information on all types of animals, large or small, which can give a conscientious homeowner fits. He covers the basics well, offers comprehensive treatment of the subject, and provides recommendations that are grounded in common sense. Adler employs humor as a reminder that people should not take these tasks too seriously. His methods for capture and removal of creatures are sensitive and humane. An appendix offers a guide to concerned organizations and manufacturers of equipment mentioned in the text. While not captivating reading, this guide will be a useful addition to public libraries.
