I had to swear off coffee for health reasons - and chocolate too. Arghhh!
But Ovaltine Malt in hot milk made me feel like I wasn't completely sacrificing.
And the vitamins and minerals made me feel OK about adding all that sugar to my diet.
NOW - - they've changed the recipe! It used to have about 3 times the vitamins - especially B's - that it does now!
I had noticed a change in taste - it wasn't as rich - and clumped up more.
Then I looked at the label.
WHY? Another very disappointed fan.
It's like the new coke thing. Somebody screwed up - and they will be losing lots of loyal customers, like me.

This product IS NOT the original. It does NOT contain the vitamins and minerals that made it famous and healthy, for years. What is this company (Nestle) doing messing with Ovaltine!

There is no question that kids would honestly rather try to put chocolate syrup into their milk and have chocolate milk. Yet, that has gotten old after awhile, and kids don't honestly get enough in the way of taste. Fortunately, there is another option for taste, and that is Ovaltine. It is a great Malt mix that is simple and easy to mix into your favorite glass of milk, hot or cold. The taste is absolutely delicious, in each and every cup and has extras like vitamins and a extra dosage of calcium which is something other mixes like Quik from Nestle don't often display in their drink mixes. I absolutely recommend Ovaltine as a great buy in your grocery cart anyday of the week.

I ordered 8 jars of the Original Malt Ovaltine as I haven't been able to find it in the stores since they changed the labels...I received what I ordered and am very happy!

Ovaltine is my daughter's fav. It is a good deal to buy in 6 packs, Look for amazon grocery discounts.
On the deal it is a steal.

I HAVE BEEN DRINKING MALT OVALTINE FOR OVER 20 YEARS. WITH ALL THE VITAMINS AND MINERALS, I USE IT AS MY SUPPLEMENT TO CALCIUM. EVERY NOON, A GLASS OF NONFAT MILK AND THREE TABLESPOONS OF
CLASSIC MALT OVALTINE AND MY CALCIUM PILLS, IT HAS HELPED KEEP MY BONES HEALTHY.

The Classic Malt is not bad, but is not as tasty as the Chocolate Malt. I bought some Chocolate Malt and mixed it with the Classic Malt and have the best of both worlds. It is not too Malty and not too Chocolaty. It is just right.

I was happy to find the product at what I thought was an ok price, until after I ordered and found the canisters on the shelf for about 1/2 the price I paid. I should have researched it more and will next time. The beverage tastes great and I will buy some again, where ever its the cheapest.

Only way we could get my son to drink milk when he was 2 years old. 4 years later, he still loves ovaltine.

This stuff gives a surprisingly super flavor to my 100% Optimum Nutrition Chocolate Whey & Casein mix drink. I also add Nido Milk powder. Only trouble i have with Ovaltine is the Iron in it. This drink is meant for Kids, adults dont need anymore Iron. But Ovaltine makes my drink so tasty i will buy again. Very cheap too AT $15 for 4. Other stuff like Carnation and Horlicks are frikking expensive.
