I searched long and hard to find an affordable flatware set that had some weight behind it. Oneida has definitely done it with this set. The pattern also goes with either contemporary or traditional decor. Holds up well, I wash it in the dishwasher.

This is the first flatware set I ever bought. I am very happy with this flatware. It is actually bigger than I thought it would look. I think it would be perfect for dinnerwares that are bigger than normal like Fiestaware. It also has some weight to it like flatwares usually found in "expensive" restaurants. I am not really fond of shiny or mirror-finish flatwares and I was not suppose to buy any of the sort. However, I think, the mirror-finish actually compliments the flatware's size and understated elegance. Eating frozen dinner with this flatware feels like an event now.

I was looking at other flatware brands before settling on Oneida. I chose Oneida, because you can easily re-order individual pieces from their company website. ...You will never know if you need to add more place settings or replace damaged or missing pieces. I personally have the habit of losing teaspoons! Oohh! I need more of those serving spoons and forks too!

One last thing... I noticed that if I do not wipe the flatware after washing and let it dry by itself, it gets water stains. (This is my first flatware. Maybe water stains are a normal occurrence?) It easily comes off if you re-wet the flatware and wipe it off. Oneida said... "It is stainless ... not stain proof. Discoloration can be caused by ingredients found in tea, coffee, salad dressing, vinegar and salt. Pitting or spotting are usually caused by hard water or from foods with high salt content.... Use a good quality stainless cleaner... to remove the 'build up' caused by minerals."

I purchased this set a few months ago. When I received it, EVERY ONE of the forks were messed up. I think they were having trouble with their cutting machine that day. The tips were uneven and SHARP. Well, I called Oneida and they DID replace the forks. When I got the replacements, one of the NEW ones was like that. I would assume this is a common problem. For almost a hundred dollars, I would expect this to be in good shape. Also, the utensils are just TOO BIG and THICK, not easy to use at all. I am very disappointed with this purchase.

Flatware is bigger and heavier than normal. Not for the light-hearted or the dieter. These are for someone who wants to dig in to that thick juicy steak and dish up a big heap of potatoes. Quality 18/10 stainless steel. Price is good. No problems. Happy with my selection and my purchase from Amazon.

My husband & I looked at so many pieces of flatware before we decided on this set. I wanted something classy, he wanted "man-sized" forks and spoons --- no florals or fancy patterns. This set was somewhat of a compromise because I initially thought the pieces seemed a bit too heavy, but since we've been using them, I've really come to appreciate the features.

The pieces have definite heft, they're sturdy (the spoons don't bend if someone "accidently" uses them to scoop out rock-hard ice cream!), and dishwasher safe. They also complement well our dishes, which are larger-sized and have a strong pattern.

I believe this is an excellent quality set, and you can't go wrong with Oneida.

I wanted to tell anyone out there that if they are thinking about this set they should grab it....It is amazing. The quality and the looks of it is just amazing. I had a few doubt after reading one of the reviews about the forks...let me tell you I found nothing wrong with the forks or any other piece of the set. I got the 4 piece set for free after getting this set...so i have a 12 piece set for this price....and it's 18/10 steel you can't go in any store and get it any cheaper. I tried, most places have lesser grade steel. I can't say enough good things about this set.....just try it and you will be amazed.

The dinner forks are too big for most people's hands, but they have a nice weight and good finish.

Excellent quality and design. My wife loves them and the price was right. The local dept store was asking $150!!!!

My grandmother picked out the pattern for me for Christmas; she did a fine job! They do in fact go perfectly with Fiestaware, another decision I'm quite happy with. A few of my bits seem to have been...misplaced...in my recent move, so I think I'll be picking up a new set. Surprisingly inexpensive for what you get...

I was very impressed with this flat ware and the free 24 peice set that comes with it makes it all the better. It feels heavy and very good in the hand. I would say this is a "man's man" flatware set..and yes ladies you will like it too :) Solid and as I said before no nonsense so, it goes with all of my dinnerware. If you want top notch flatware without roses and grapevine's looming all over it, this is for you. However if your "high society" this may not be fancy enough.

Now, for what I found that I didnt like about it. The end of the fork prongs are flat and slightly rounded off and not real sharp but, I have no problem "stabbing the food" as another reviewer suggested they did. Also inbetween the forks prongs are not as highly polished as it could be. This is not noticeable unless you look very closely for it. You could say it is well hidden. The reason I give this flatware 5 stars is because OVERALL it is SUPERIOR flatware. Godspeed.
