The name James Montgomery is synonymous with the New England blues scene. His shows are legendary parties of blues and funk, and this album gives a sampling of all of that. Treat yourself to a great CD, this one is highly recommended.

James Montgomery's other Albums?,

I have a problem. I can't find any of James Montgomery's other Albums! I'm trying to find "First Time Out". It was released in 1973 and then re-released on CD in 1998, but apparently the company (capricorn) went out of business, so I can't find it! By chance anyone ever reads this and knows where I can get my hands on the CD, (or mp3s) email me at kennedy_D@hotmail.com and let me know!

This guy is hard to beat. If this doesn't put you in the mood, nothing will. James Montgomery is in his prime. I wish his other albums were a little easier to find.

My husband and I first heard the James Montgomery Blues Band on Nantucket Island at the Chicken Box in 1972. We jumped to the music then, and the rest is history. We still have their LP's (although we no longer have a needle on our stereo!). After 28 fabulous years together, we still hold the band responsible and are so glad to know they are still together. We will buy and enjoy any music they produce. Thank you, James Montgomery!

We first heard this band on Nantucket Island at the Chicken Box in 1972. We jumped to the music and it was the beginning of a fantastic 28 years together. We still have their LP's (athough we no longer have a needle on our stereo!) but we will never forget the music that inspired us to love and live! Glad to know they're still here! We'll buy any music they make.
