4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Soundtrack To A Great Movie
I really loved this movie alot and couldn't wait to get the soundtrack! I am obsessed with Vitamin C who is in the movie and does a few numbers including the opening dance sequence "Love Will Keep Us Together" - which by the way is her lip syncing to Captain & Tennille, not her own voice - and a super sweet duet with Sisqo called September where she does use...

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Soundtrack To A Great Movie, March 19, 2001
This review is from: Get Over It (2001 Film) (Audio CD)
I really loved this movie alot and couldn't wait to get the soundtrack! I am obsessed with Vitamin C who is in the movie and does a few numbers including the opening dance sequence "Love Will Keep Us Together" - which by the way is her lip syncing to Captain & Tennille, not her own voice - and a super sweet duet with Sisqo called September where she does use her own voice. I was extremely dissapointed to find out when I bought the cd that September is not on it. I hope it will be on Sisqo's new cd, because it ain't on Vitamin C's..... anyway, after that let down I listened to the cd a couple times and looooooved it!!! I like every song on there. My favorites are: "Get With Me" by Shorty 101, "Sho' Nuff" by Fatboy Slim, "Perfect World" by Mikaila, "Alison" by Elvis Costello and The Attractions, "The Shining" by Badly Drawn Boy <------thats my favorite song, "Love Will Keep Us Together" by Captain & Tennille and "Dream Of Me" by the gifted actress Kirsten Dunst. All of the other songs on the cd are pretty awesome and up beat too - just like the movie. Trust me, after seeing this film, the first thing you're gonna wanna do is pick up this soundtrack; just don't expect to hear from Vitamin C or Sisqo. And not hearing them is the only reason this got 4 stars instead of 5. This is a wonderful cd to own though. And don't fret over September not being on the soundtrack, you'll GET OVER IT......

5.0 out of 5 stars Kirsten Dunst sings so fantastically!, October 12, 2001
By A Customer

I just watched the DVD and the songs Kirsten Dunst sings are breathtaking. I wish they would have made a longer version of "The Girl Inside" (which she sings at the audition) and put it on the Soundtrack. I listen to the Bonus Section of the DVD over and over... And the other song "Dream of me" is beyond words and truly worth buying the CD. I wonder who this gifted composer is. She/He and Kirsten Dunst should make a whole CD!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Music to a surprise movie, March 15, 2001

After working at a movie theater and watching this movie, it actually made me feel good. The music moved the movie at a great pace. Love Will Keep Us Together is a great song... And a real spirit lifter. However, I should point out that the song IN the movie is actually Captain And Tenille, not Vitamin C... She was lip syncing to the original. I really wish sisqo's cover of Earth Wind and Fire's September had been put on the soundtrack. It would help it sell much more :) I actually watched the credits for that part...

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good soundtrack...just missing one song though, November 30, 2008
This review is from: Get Over It (2001 Film) (Audio CD)
This was a very good--if not widely seen--movie, and had a lot of great songs in it. Unfortunately, as has been mentioned, the only one missing is one of the best in the movie, namely Sisqo & Vitamin C's cover of September. Other than downloading an MP3 on the web, there is no way to get this song on a CD--it's not on this soundtrack, nor on any of Sisqo's albums or Vitamin C's. Maybe they didn't get Earth, Wind & Fire's permission to use the cover version on the soundtrack, though I can't see why if they had it in the movie to begin with. Other than missing that, the soundtrack is great, and if you've seen the movie, you'll immediately remember every song on the album.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love the film, not such a great soundtrack!, March 13, 2006

The film has got to be one of the funniest ever, i laugh harder each time i see it! it is just hilarious despite its cheesiness-that just makes it better! its a shame the soundtrack doesnt do it the justice it deserves, kirsten dunst's song makes me cringe a little when listened to while not watching the film. But 'Love Will Keep Us together' I still play in the car and sing at the top my lungs with it-its the best. I'll never fall in love again is another great song as well as Another Perfect Day and Allison but the rest are a bit boring. And not putting Sisqo's September on the soundtrack is purely Criminal-what were they thinking?? still, an ok soundtrack, but nothing compared to the film which is a sure 5 star rating!

3.0 out of 5 stars An okay CD with only a few really good songs, May 21, 2005
By
This review is from: Get Over It (2001 Film) (Audio CD)
I loved the movie Get Over It!, so I figured the great music from the movie would be on the soundtrack. It's not really the case. There are a few really good songs on the GET OVER IT! OST, but most of them are just okay.
Kirsten Dunst's "Dream of Me" is probably the best song on here. She sings it in the musical in the movie, and it's got some Shakespeare lines in it. She may not have the best voice in the world, but it's a pretty song that I think a lot of teenagers can relate to.
I also like "Allison" and "Love Will Keep Us Together," but for the most part, the GET OVER IT! OST has a lot of forgettable songs.

I recommend just watching the movie instead of actually buying the soundtrack.

Overall grade: C-

4.0 out of 5 stars THIS CD ROCKS THE CASBAH!!!!!!!!! ; ), December 15, 2003

this is a really good cd. the movie is good too, it's one of my favorites. but one thing is missing: september! ya know, during the credits? the earth, wind, and fire one is great, but the one with sisqo and vitamin c is SO much better. at least i think so. what the record company who put out this cd should do is put out ANOTHER one, kinda like what they did for moulin rouge. and even though it IS a little late, i'd still buy it. so to any of you record producers reading this PLEASE put out another one!

The song run in the ad's on MTV was the first song on the Soundtract for movie."Get With Me" by Shorty101, album for Shorty (hopefully) coming summer 2001, single hopefully no later than July 2001. Check out Island/defjam site for their pics. We are really anxious to see what the album will bring. Already huge fans of these girls
