Product Description

Platform: Game Boy Advance

From the Manufacturer

Based on the feature film from DreamWorks Animation, Over the Hedge for the Game Boy Advance takes players on an interactive adventure beyond the film. Assuming the roles of RJ the raccoon, Verne the turtle, and Hammy the squirrel, players turn a suburban neighborhood loaded with dangerous obstacles and traps into their own personal playground. Over the Hedge for Game Boy Advance closely follows the storyline of the movie and allows players to experience the adventures for themselves.

Features:

  • Players experience the camaraderie and wacky adventures of three woodland creatures as they take over suburbia: using the unique personalities and skills of RJ, Verne, and Hammy, gamers conquer a neighborhood filled with foes such as Nugent the dog, Vincent the bear, the Taxidermist, and Gladys Sharp, the animal-hating president of the homeowner’s association.
  • Follow the movie’s storyline in Over The Hedge for the Game Boy Advance: Gamers accept challenges and quests that lead them through actual film adventures. Players must master stealth and heist situations each with its own unique location. Traveling from the forest through the suburban sprawl, players use cartoon weaponry in tandem with avoidance techniques to overcome dangerous machines, villainous gadgets, and unfriendly animals. Advice and hints are offered to the player by the other members of the forest family, including Stella the skunk, Ozzie and Heather, the father-and-daughter possums, and the porcupine family, headed by Lon and Penny.

Product Description

In Over The Hedge, you'll take an interactive adventure beyond the film. When a housing development intrudes on their woodland habitat and an opossum is kidnapped by an evil exterminator, three wise-cracking rodents and one reptile invade the 'burbs in a quest to rescue their friend. Battle the exterminator and his army of mind-controlled mammals, and save the forest (and your own hide) from the world's peskiest critter -- man. Gamers can play with a friend in the wireless mini-game with a single Over the Hedge NDS cartridge

3.0 out of 5 stars Cool game but not good for kids over 7, April 8, 2011
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Over the Hedge (Video Game)
This game is a kind of cool but it is not good for kids over 7. The graphics are pretty good for a game boy advance, but the levels are short and boring. Also much of the movie is not included in this game. Overall the game is not too bad.

4.0 out of 5 stars Super fun ....but very short!, February 24, 2010
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Over the Hedge (Video Game)
My 7 year old just bought this game for herself. It took her less than a day to complete the entire game (so it is definitely TOO short). Her 5 year old brother is now playing it...although he sometimes needs her advice to finish the levels. My daughter says, "The game is okay, sometimes hard, but I was able to finish it myself. She liked the music and the characters and the graphics. We paid $5.99 for the game and it was worth it. Both kids said this game is definitely a keeper.

4.0 out of 5 stars I bough ths game for my kids.., August 12, 2008
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Over the Hedge (Video Game)
My daughter is 10, my son 4, and they both really like the game.. it's not too hard (although some parts of the game can be tricky to pull off, like sneaking past the humans.. lol) It doesn't look too bad as far as graphics go in the game either..
