This western is a good read, a seamless shift between western history and fiction. I would call it a western folk novel.

This novel is so entertaining, suspensful, historical, and hard to put down. The characters are real, imperfect, and memorable. I can hardly wait to read the sequel and find out what happens to folks that seem to have come alive.

A delightful trip through the wild west, unpredictible and exciting. One would have thought they were traveling along. Very discriptive and well done!
