Book Description

July 30, 2009
"LIVE like there's no tomorrow, LOVE with all your heart, and LAUGH until your spirit lights up!" Thus said little nine-year-old Cory, dying of leukemia. Cory lived every second of his five final and cancer-ridden years to the fullest. This wise old soul walked his talk, embracing life with passion and without fear of death. He lived to inspire others and brought everyone he touched--teachers, fellow students, medical professionals, Hollywood actors--his timeless message. His inspiring wisdom continues in Over the Rainbow Bridge. Laugh and cry with Cory--and never fear death again. ----30% of the net proceeds of Over the Rainbow Bridge will be donated to Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of WWA to help families dealing with pediatric cancer and CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation for research.----

Review

Cory was my favorite patient ever, and he taught me more than I could ever teach him. His lessons about the afterlife were profound, and his drawings of what he saw "over the Rainbow Bridge" helped thousands of people get in touch with their long-buried emotions. --Dr. Elisabeth Kubler Ross, On Death and Dying

Over the Rainbow Bridge offers a comforting peace about death and dying. Death is not an ending but the beginning of a new phase. Powerful. Thanks, Cory, for you wisdom. --Shelly Heesacker, Independent Field Producer, Oprah and The Dr. Phil Show

5.0 out of 5 stars Emotional Read, August 8, 2009

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Over the Rainbow Bridge (Paperback)
Ms. Enebrad did an amazing job articulating the specialness of her child and their heartbreaking jounrney to "Summerland". This book emotionally drained me, I laughed, I cried and I sobbed. When I finished this book it made me reflect on those I have loved and lost in my own life and how I talk to others about death, dying and my views on the afterlife. She offers sound advice advice and shares valuable wisdom, I only hope her daughter Brie decides to write about her experience as the young sibling of a terminal child.
Thank You Ms. Enebrad for sharing your amazing little guy with all of us and for offering such a personal emotional glimpse into his short life.

I look forward to more works by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Laugh, Love and Live, September 16, 2009
This review is from: Over the Rainbow Bridge (Paperback)
I read Shirley Enebrad's Over the Rainbow Bridge with trepidation, expecting her story to be depressing; instead, I did indeed laugh and cry. She and her son, Cory, are an inspiration to live, love and laugh, and to hold our loved ones close and never be afraid to say I love you.

5.0 out of 5 stars This story will stay with you forever!, October 20, 2009
This review is from: Over the Rainbow Bridge (Paperback)
I started reading this book late last night and could not put it down until it was finished. I'm still speechless...
This book is a must read! Is it possible for a child to be sent to this earth to teach? The answer (after reading this story) is a unequivocal YES.
This is not a sad/depressing book by any stretch of the imagination. This is a compelling story in which the writer invites you into a special part of her life and you truly feel as if you are a part of the journey.

I never knew Cory and do not know the writer and her family, but after reading this book, this little boy will be in my heart forever.
